I had an old friend call me a week or so ago. He was at South Seas and about to test ride a S1000R and the sales staff mentioned that I had one. He didn't get much of a ride and has asked if he can get a bit more time on my bike. I said sure, so we may be going out tomorrow with his group of BMW guys. He is still likely to buy the new R1200RS but it would be interesting to swap bikes for a bit. He's an ex-motocross guy who used to fly F-4's & F-15's.

The new R1200RS looks to be a pretty cool bike, but your friend appears to be more suited to an HP4...  |

The new R1200RS looks to be a pretty cool bike, but your friend appears to be more suited to an HP4... We'll see how he likes my bike when he's unleashed. He also wants to take the bike to the Mainland and do some touring so you have to factor that in. If I was on the mainland I doubt I would have sold the R1200S. |
