Then showed the S1000R to the only guy in 7 months that has shown enough interest to come & see it. Just as I was taking the ad off CL. Don't know if he's going to go for it or not but the ad is down now anyway.

Anybody up for tomorrow? I can't make the regular time but I might be able to catch up somewhere.

Second run and I ended up going around the island down the north shore & windward coast as the return traffic to town through Pearl City was an absolute standstill on H1 because of the pro bowl.
Next weekend might be a wash. The early weather prediction is calling for lots of unsettled weather and the coldest air temps we've seen all year. I just need to rack up 600 something miles as fast as I can. Got about 200 on it now.

What are your initial impressions of the SD regarding the seating position, handling, etc?...besides the exhaust, anything you're itching to swap out yet?...

I will have a fairly full second review coming soon. I sit more upright on the bike but more importantly I haven't had that occasional pesky hip ball socket cramp as my legs aren't bent in the same position, slightly more relaxed. It handles faster than the BMW, and that's saying something. I've already done a tail tidy, the MadDuck custom reinforced, modded Yoshimura set up. I also took the heavy Rhinomoto bar ends off the BMW and had machine work done to them and the KTM stock bar ends so I could use the CRG mirrors. That worked out super good. Super good. ( I do nice work if I may say so
) --- I also have some 6061 billet bar stock coming that I will have machined to fit one of my old Ducati rear stands. I have two rear stands that work on the 848/Hypermotard/996 series so one of them will be built up to fit the SD. I still have the Streetfighter 1098 rear stand that I will put up for sale now that I'm pretty sure I won't be getting a Panigale.

Cool!...what are you doing about an exhaust? I'm thinkin' this Akra system is lookin' pretty gnarly...

Being faster than you thought possible…it feels good. No, screw that—it feels like shotgunning a gallon of adrenaline and chasing it with an all-night orgy aboard a burning Viking boat.
