If you could manage, you should take it back to the dealer tomorrow and nicely insist that they do it while you wait...

they might tell you that they have to order a new chain for it and youll have to wait a month and a half to get it Grin

... i still dont have my 848 home from the shop yet so i am still miserable and bitter.

but i would like to ride with you guys this weekend on the gfs 696 since she is going to be off island and and i have no other friends or family here *que violin*

I def won't let them order a new chain. The 600 mile service has a chain adjustment, if all else fails its not so bad I can't wait 250 miles

Did you get your front brake light activation looked at yet?

I'll swing by south seas after work and see if they'll do it really fast.

you might want to give them a call first...

Don't forget the six pack.  Wink  It never hurts to offer up a little "thanks" before hand when you will be asking guys to look at an issue while you wait.

just read the email ... hope no one minds me passing it this way. so anyone here plan on attending?

Subject: Lieutenant Governor To Sign Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month Proclamation

TO THE MOTORCYCLING COMMUNITY IN HAWAII

Lieutenant Governor Duke Aiona will sign a proclamation kicking off Hawaii's Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month on 8 May 2010 at Leeward Community College.  The ceremony is set to begin at  9  am.

The ceremony will be held in the parking area at LCC that is used for the practical skill range for the motorcycle safety courses.

The parking area will be open and available for interested groups to attend starting at 8:30am.  Motorcycle clubs, organizations, and those riding enthusiasts that are currently unaffiliated are encouraged to "ride their bike" to the event.   Ample parking will be made available for groups to park together.   Ample auto parking is also available.

At the event, the DOT will announce several events that are in the process of being scheduled, including sign waving, and community outreach  that will support motorcycle safety month.  These events are being designed to encourage maximum participation from the Hawaii motorcycling community.

The overarching theme for this year is SHARE THE ROAD.  Naturally, rider responsibility is an important and ever present theme of motorcycling safety,  I am confident that everyone in the motorcycling community can come together and support this thematic message in order to advance the safety of riding motorcycles in Hawaii.

Share the Road - Ride responsibly - Obey the law - Enjoy the Ride.

There is time and place to have a discourse on the current laws regarding motorcycling,   let's all try hard NOT to let that discourse dilute the message during this campaign.  Thanks.

As the campus host for the event on May 8th, I would love to see as many clubs, groups, businesses, and individuals as possible come out and show support.

The Dept of Transportation representatives that are making this come together are to be commended for their hard work, enthusiasm, and perseverance.  This is shaping up to be a campaign that the motorcycling community in Hawaii will be proud of.   And Next year proves to be even better.

Please Forward this to all those that are interested,

I'm doing my normal Sat AM thing. Then I'll be at the shop from 11am on for awhile going through the 620ie and waiting for a customer or two. After that  [moto]
