No modification goes unpunished. Memento mori.  Good people drink good beer.  Things happen pretty fast at high speeds.

It's all up to your will level, your thrill level and your skill level.  Everything else is just fluff.

2010 675 Daytona SE in the ditch on the right side of the road just before the 2nd driveway coming down from the top...rider said he wound up with too much speed on the dogleg left after the last righthander coming down, fixated on the side of the road and went off...rider okay except for a possible broken collarbone and some minor scratches, left side of the bike has tank damage, bent shifter, bent clipon, trashed turn signals, bent subframe and scratched bodywork...

Done and done!  Shame about the bike, as it's most likely totaled, but glad that the rider is mostly ok. Was it Craig's friend?

That's him...he also has a new R6 that he was riding on Sunday which he's turning into a race bike and shipping to Minnesota, so he can race it at Brainerd this summer...

The 848 is down for the count at this point. I got dem ol' mod yo bike sucka blues. If my friend is feeling generous I might get the Hyper but then I might have to be working on the bike as much as possible. Dunno yet.

I thought all you had left on the 848 was the gear position indicator... Huh?

It was, that is until I started in on the master cylinders. Now it's round 3. Round 1, where I installed the racing masters on the Monster and all the problems that generated, is happening all over again. Round 2 was when we installed the 2nd generation racing masters on Ben's SC. ( the RCS's ) Same problems with reservoir mountings and throttle cables. Now, with round 3, I have all of the former problems along with having to modify/change-modify the starter/kill switch.  Fun -- Fun -- Fun.  Ho, ho, ho.   bang head
