After a point, yes I was.
It very quickly became obvious that I wasn't going to catch anyone up in front. I will have to try harder, faster & earlier, if or when the opportunity and inspiration arises again. Then, also, I could see that the front was slowing up & I didn't want close that gap too fast. Being on the tail end of the slinky is too scary.

It used to start forming up around 8:30 to 9:00 am at Starbucks Ward & Auahi. The dynamic has changed and it's hit or miss now. I have no idea at this time what will happen Sun morn but I do know I have a big birthday party guitar jam to go to tomorrow night. Not my birthday though. You will have to stay tuned and be ready.
There should be a monthly ride next week Sunday at 10:30 at the dealer. I'll help promote that one.

I haven't heard from anyone else so far but I plan to show at SB Ward around 9 this morning, give or take. In pretty good shape despite last nights gathering.

Take the Kinau cutoff from the Lunalillo freeway, then right on Ward all the way down to Auahi, Jamba Juice/Starbucks will be on your right...or use the directions from the dealership as previously posted...

The usual day today minus all the fast guys. So we were mostly mellow and a good thing too. As we pulled up to the top of 13 turns the I Ride Bikes group was up there and the 2nd in command told us they got yelled at for running laps up and down the road repeatedly
( well duh ). Then as they went down to the intersection to make the left up the Pali a cop in a SUV pulled in behind them and followed them.
Two groups of Harleys pulled over with broken bikes and a crashed Yamaha R1 Rossi replica on Snake in the usual corner. So, like I said, the usual.

Rick, thanks for being El Jefe today, keeping us safe while mixing it up some...I had fun.
Cops at the bottom of snake lasering folks coming down the hill and rain on H2 kinda spoiled the return trip for Jing and I.

Mmmmmm... Margaritas...

Being faster than you thought possible…it feels good. No, screw that—it feels like shotgunning a gallon of adrenaline and chasing it with an all-night orgy aboard a burning Viking boat.
