Custom CF locally?

So here's my vision: I'd like to have some CF cans shaped just like the stockers on my S4RS. To my knowledge, nobody makes them, so I was wondering if I could have them made, and if someone locally manufactures CF so that I can get the sleeves done for my cans. With these hypothetical CF sleeves, I could then cut the end caps out of my stock setup and make up a nice cored set of cans and retain the cool styling of the stockers with the added performance and looks of free flowing CF cans. Or would it be cheaper to get a set of Arrows? BTW, assume the addition of a midpipe.

When you look at all the associated costs, and time involved, buying an after-market set of pipes... Arrows, Remus, etc... is the way to go. and gutting the OEM pipes is not as clean and easy as you'd think.
A ready made, known to work, set of pipes is the way to go. Plug 'n play, and back on the road!

If you just want the CF looks, why not just wrap the stockers with a layer of CF and have it clear coated. You could order a sheet of it online and just get some resin from home depot. You could probably pick up a cheap used set to practice on.

I don't want to pose, I'd rather have the real deal. Basically, I want a high performance muffler (e.g. Arrow, Termi, etc) with the looks of the stock cans. In a perfect world, I wouldn't need to go through the hassle of coring a set of cans so much as just taking the end caps from them along with some exhaust packing and a couple of perforated tubes in order to make a set of neat and unique mufflers. I just thought I'd explore the option and see what resources are available.

Something tells me there would be a heat problem in this configuration and would lead to premature discoloring or failure of the carbon. When a can is desgined with carbon in mind, there are thermal precautions made. Either a barrier or special packing to minimize the heat transfer to the carbon itself.
Just a thought...

I hadn't thought about that, but good point--especially given how the S4RS cans are shaped, I could see one side of the cans in particular getting excessive heat exposure. If only a good second-hand set of CF Arrows would turn up...
