S2R 800.

My bike has since been fixed but I want to post up the experience. I had read a thread on the old board regarding cracked engine cases.
It made me go outside to check mine and sure enough - a significant crack in the engine case right at the rear right mounting bolt.

Most folks I have talked to believe it is due to improper torquing of the mounting bolt - knowing my local shop that sounds about right.
I ended up getting it fixed over the winter under warranty - 5000 bucks worth of work for the new cases.  Shocked

So just a heads up - Check your cases - especially at the mounts.

Cheers  dr::
