I've been shopping for some leathers for the street and have narrowed down my choices. Anyone here have first hand experience with AGV Sports line of perf'd jackets and pants? I'll be buying a dedicated track suit so this stuff is for street use only.

Thanks,
Keith

I own both and I really like them. Good dual compound armor (hard shell with foam close to the body). Reasonably priced as well...

Thanks for the replies guys  wt:. At their current price points the pants & jacket look hard to beat. Should be a good street set up; I just don't feel safe in textile anymore...

I've seen many brands of leathers torture tested at the track.

I've seen the low end ones blow out at high speed and I've seen top of the line alpinestars blow out at lower speeds.

I think the biggest thing is getting something that fits you well.  Buying from somewhere you can try them on and being fitted by someone who knows what to look for is far more important than simply price.

I have a pair of the non-perfed AGV leather pants and eventhough I have never worn them they seem to be pretty good compared to my Dainese Mekong Pelle and Firefly l.eathers

I will never wear anything made by AGV after their gloves completely failed me and caused this:

This was a 50 mph lowside and it ate through the palm in about 2 seconds (and the stitching didn't hold up for shit).

F@*K dude  Shocked. Not a good endorsement. I'm actually looking at another line of leathers right now but thanks for the input.
