Hi Monster ladies!

I am new to the forum and relatively new to riding and I wanted to say greetings from Connecticut (for those of you nearby, I live in Bethel and work in Stamford).

My (now) fiance and I got our licenses about a year ago and have been mesmerized by all things Ducati ever since. Soon after we received our licenses I, (in all seriousness) told him that instead of an engagement ring I would prefer a Ducati.  Well he took me quite literally and proposed with the bike a few weeks ago (and a beautiful ring too!).  I've been glued to him and the bike ever since!

The first time out was a bit nerve wracking, but I think it took all of about 20 minutes of working the clutch and throttle before it all came back and I was raring to go out for a longer ride.  We have taken them out at every free moment, and I've been commuting to work when I can and the weather allows.

I look forward to reading about your experiences and any advice you may have for a new and VERY excited rider.

Cheers,
Amy

Very exciting!  It is always so awesome to find a couple with the same kind of passion for their bikes.
My (now) fiance got me a bike for our 1 yr.  It is so much fun to ride together!

What a great guy, congrats!  Have fun on your bike.  We have a few "new rider" threads in this forum for advice, browse around and feel free to ask more questions. Smiley

Thanks for the warm welcome.

DuCaTini, I rode up to New Preston today, next time I will be sure to look you up!

Sparky1479, couldn't agree more about riding together.  It's great to share the road with your partner. I have been joking with my guy that the REAL reason he got me the bike was not only so we could ride together, but now he will never run out of birthday or holiday gift ideas...he can just get me a mod for my duc and it would never dissapoint!

It certainly does make gift buying easier!  Not to mention having a place where we both love to go to shop (our local bike store)...   Grin

sounds great!  pm me whenever you are interested.  We are usually around on the weekends and we're quickly making a habit of spending as much time on our bikes as possible.

So true!

My sweetness has given me, over the years, (among other things) a custom leather moto jacket, a new helmet, CRG mirrors, electric heated gloves, and I think I might be receiving new riding boots for my birthday this year.  Cheesy

I've given him lots and lots of homemade pies.  Grin

I'm a lucky girl.
