Got the Zards back on this past weekend. It really blacks out the bike especially on the right side. I had the pipes ceramic coated satin black and painted the rivets black too. The endcaps and straps are anodized gold. The original straps were stainless steel so I measured them and drew them up using a free CAD program. A local shop easily cut them out of aluminum sheet using a water jet.

On the list this weekend: paint the oil cooler with black radiator paint and temporarily mount a CF long belly pan to see if I like it. I also have a magnesium 10-spoke rear wheel that I need to have mounted and balanced, so if anyone knows of a good shop (preferably with No-Mar changer) in San Diego please let me know!

Cant say I would do the same but definitely I appreciate the vision and work. blacking out the triangles on the exhaust would be awesome. how well do the golds match in person?

Agreed. I'm feeling like the end caps need a touch of black.

Still  bacon bacon nonetheless!!!

You ever consider getting the frame done in gold to match the swing arm?

I would have to agree with captainblood on that one.

Hey S2dark, how about rerouting that right-side oil cooler hose over to the other side.  It's an easy mod that really cleans up the look of the bike.
Oh, and by the way Looks like your bikes dingaling is showing.  Shocked

Never crossed my mind. As the captain pointed out, my theme is a black bike w/ gold accents. And I don't want to get every accessory that comes in gold either. The only gold pieces I have left to install is a Motogadget gauge w/ gold trim ring, AEM hub flange, and S4RS Ohlins shock. I have a lot of black parts to install (shock spring, front rotors, 4 pad calipers, radial masters, brake lines, billet axle nuts, STM slave, STM sprocket and carrier, Speedymoto bottom triple, Marchesini 10-spoke mag rear wheel). I wish the entire engine was black!

Mojo, the long belly pan should help keep it from dangling in the wind Grin The routing of the right oil cooler hose is going to come too; want to use black lines and fittings.
