Just as a curiousity I was wondering what the top speed of the various Monsters are. I have an S4RS with a full system/airbox/ECU. I don't know how fast it will go but I've had it screaming and was wondering what the top end really is. That made me interested in the top speeds of all the various monsters. I know stock bikes will differ greatly from the ones with all the aftermarket goodies so I guess I'm looking for a ball park number. If I lived in the desert or something I might know what my personal top speed is.

hit 139 on the monster 696 last week. termi slip ons(full manifold not yet available) and 14T front sprocket are the only mods that might affect performance

My S2R 800 - 135 indicated on flat open roads.
Not that I've ever done this - it would be illegal - only in Germany where they have no speed limits on a few Autobahns.
As far as I've been able to establish, indicated is only about 2% higher than actual speed.(actual speed info signs on highways here, Norway)

Just as a curiousity I was wondering what the top speed of the various Monsters are. Fast bike? You've never heard of the Ducati? It's the bike that made the Kessel Run in 12 parsecs. She's fast enough for you old man. yes I am a geek!
