LOL This thread delivers !!! FWIW My S4RS ran an indicated 150 mph the last time I was whipping it good. There was some room on the tach still but I chickened out. With ear plugs in it is surreal how quiet it can be at that speed. I'm going to get a GPS unit soon so I can have the truest speed possible.

Dude,

I'm the last guy to be preachy about spirited riding (mea culpa), but I hope that you are doing that dime and a 1/2 at the track and not out in the world.

Just saying . . .

Just a heads-up: speedos are notoriously inaccurate on motorcycles.  (Except Harleys - they're usually dead-on accurate unless the bike's really modded)

My speedo is about 5 mph under.

You mean no one mentioned yet that their 620 can do 140?Huh?  popcorn

was mentioned on first page..

apparently 620's are the fastest

Well....maybe not at a track but a private area that's off the real worlds beaten path.

I think 99% of the guys here are looking at us like  Roll Eyes

They dont know about randall and the 620 capriex do they?

and rightly so - should have died w/ TOB.  Never understood why that was so viral anyway... maybe funny for like a week but now it's just annoying when a thread about top speed can't go more than a page without someone coming in and dropping it like a turd  Roll Eyes

Anyone who cares about top speed should just go tape a gps to the tank and go find out.

what a piece a junk.

She'll make point five beyond the speed of light. She may not
look like much, but she's got it where it counts, kid. I've added some
special modifications myself.

On the open road, managed 175Km on the 620, bounced to 185Km on the s2r 800, these are the top speeds but about as fast as I'd ever want to touch on public roads and only for a brief .5km at a time.  On the same note as another rider I met once said ..... fast enough for me, and too fast for the popo!
