hehehhe....he...he.he.he.hee.... my name is Beavis....hehe....he....and I approve this message......fire's cool!!
I know what my new party trick is!
I used to breath fire with 151, though it was tricky to get right. This looks much easier and just as impressive.
With Gustav bringing rain this weekend, this should light up my weekend!!!
Looks like this will be a nice addition to the potato cannon.
I will try this tonight ;D
Please post pics!
lol..... beavis [laugh]
I think you should shoot these out of the potato gun.
Flaming stuff is the only thing I've never shot out of a potato gun. If you can think of it, ive launched it.
To all that plan to try this, please post pictures!

I've fired a bunch of stuff out of a compressed air cannon.
Two of my favorites were a lit maglite after dark. It tumbled end-over-end is it arced through the air. Pretty cool.
And a living frog, which did cartwheels at an incredible rate. It went about 70 yards before touching down. It was out cold and my buddy thought we should fire it straight into the ground to make sure "it wasn't suffering." I thought it'd be fine, and sure enough, it slowly came to and hopped off.
I never thought of lighting anything on fire and shooting it either. [bang]
Yes, if anyone does this please post it up. But be careful and don't burn the house or barn down. LOL [bacon] [bacon]
i'm wondering how hard it would be to keep these lit if they were fired from an air cannon or potato gun.
hmmmm.
get the fire extinguisher ready!
someguy...NO!

anyone happen to watch mythbusters this week?
they shot sawdust out of a compressed air cannon with a road flare, and it made a huge fireball :o
then they did it again with non-dairy coffee creamer and it was even bigger :o :o :o :o
here is a video on youtube of the sawdust:

Didn't have any lighter fluid so I tried it with methyl hydrate (alcohol) last night. Doesn't work, unfortunately. It's too hot to hold. I'll give it another try once I get some more fluid.

This is how grain silo fires go - same basic principles
Fireballs... hmm I've got a couple paintball guns at home...
used an old pair of jeans, and the fireballs hit the deck! They kinda worked, but were too hot for me to hold.
gonna have to use t-shirt material. Don't know if it makes a difference, but that's the only thing I did different from the video (oh yeah, used my own hands instead of someone else's. Maybe that's the trick. use someone else's hands - it never burns you!!!)
I can't believe nobody said this...
"Great Balls o' Fire!!!!"
Alternately,
1 razor
shaving cream
aftershave.
Usually good for two balls on fire, sometimes one, rarely three. ;D
I have not attempted this yet, but will eventually.
So has anyone successfully pulled this off? I'm starting to think this is potentially bunk perpetrated to make a bunch of us pyromaniacs burn our own hands.
I want to.
I should not.
Hmmm I have on a 100% cotton teeshirt on right now and I just happen to have my zippo fluid in my desk drawer hmmmm.

my g/f is going to be home late tonight. i have time to create ;D
Ok I did it last night.
The first one I made I wrapped it to loose and I could feel the heat. The second one I wrapped tighter and YES IT WORKS! It gets a little hot but you can hold it for like 8 seconds before you have to let it go. My wife was like WTF are you doing! so I had to end the test at that point. But the flame is much bigger than in the video or maybe I used too much zippo fluid.
^^^^^
Sweet! I can't wait to teach my four year old this! [laugh]

It didn't happen if you don't have pictures.
