I want to know what is on the other side of the Universe ?
The Universe is about 15 billion light years in diameter. Dolph

my only question for god looks like a baseball bat.
My condelences.
One single question?
I would demand further questions if I managed to have his/her/it's ear.
But if only one....
What is the structure and layout of the universe/universes going up in scale infinitely to the "ends" of the one we know and beyond (soap bubble theory?), going down in scale to the nanoscopic and beyond, "sideways" if there are parallel occurrences and also in different places in what we perceive as time?
If the entire layout is explained than the answer should take a while.
If I'm just told a copout like , "I think you might already know." , I'll be pissed.

how are we to believe He is both good, and just, and also accept that paris hilton is rich and famous.

But maybe she's self-aware of how dumb she is and lays awake every night thinking about her day of moronic thoughts, crying softly. That evens it out a bit.
I think this thread is interesting but don't like the title. Not so much that I am reading into it and assuming the OP does not believe in God or others participating in the thread. Choosing to believe in one thing or another is one's choice but assuming that not every one believes that God exist (though not to say that people don't believe in a god instead God) that increases the likeliness that there are misconceptions about him.
let me put out there that I sure as heck do not know everything there is to know about him. The reason why I "dislike" this thread is that 1, we really can not talk about religion on the forums and 2, I feel that this thread has the potential to to spread further misconceptions about God. One really simple answer (that can be viewed as a cop out) that is at the root of answering a lot of questions is that God made everything perfect, man kind made it imperfect and now we live in an imperfect world and we "misinterpret" things because we have our own views of perfection. There is one more thing that I would like to slide in. Even if everything was perfect, there is a hierarchy and we can never be God ourselves.
of course this is assuming if God exists. Mods, do what you need to if this is out of the rules.
My question would be "where is the exact location of the garden of Eden"
I think by making it a presumption, it takes some of the potential for religious argument out of it, making it safe. Someone will probably screw this up but the OP worded the topic well I think.
The way to look at it I believe would be to view it as, if you had the opportunity to have access to all the knowledge there is to know but limited interaction, what would be the one thing you would try to take away from this opportunity. No religious debate, just an introspective view into what the individual most seeks.
Like I said though, someone is going to drag this down a bad path. :-\
I would ask...
"when people use the phrase, "he was talking about me, behind my back", are they not in fact, saying "it" (whatever "it" is) to their face, after all, is not ones front, or face if you will, behind ones back?"
and then... then, I would thank god for making some really good people (not all of them) and making some real cool shit.
I'd like to hear the real jesus story, in it's entirety. I couldn't give a make the beast with two backs less how long it took. That guy said some heavy shit and I want to know from where the make the beast with two backs he got it.

Read "Jesus For The Non Religious" by Bishop John Shelpy Spong. He uses history, original text, and tons of primary sources to explain Jesus and what was true and not true about him in the bible. Read any of his books, they are all great.

As a former religious nut/bible thumper turned semi-skeptic, I can't say a whole lot about my answer that won't shut this thread down rather quickly. Let's just say that I've got some burning questions.
God is....... I dunno
Something/someone made all this, and it is/they are too big for me to understand.
I cant explain how radios work much less the thing responsible for making radio waves.... so I just accept.
It's not faith... it's not hope.... its just acceptance.
I don't need to understand to accept... I just accept.
I don't need a bible to be a good human.
I don't need a church to be a good human.
I just need to be a good human.
I believe in whatever made all this for us to enjoy.... call it god if you will.
I feel god in my wife's hug.
I see god in my kids smile.
I accept and I thank.
Really well put BP
I'd ask him if the Flying Spaghetti Monster exists.
If I got to ask the FSM a question I'd ask him if God existed too. ;D
I'd ask what I'd have to do to sleep with Scarlett Johannson.
Then follow the directions explicitly.

I would say, "Lord, why is it that the thread starter cannot understand forum rules about religious/political discussions?" I truly believe that only the One, True God can answer this question.

how about a title change to
Presuming an omnipotent force that superseded known standards exists, what 1 question would you ask that had a guaranteed correct answer based on a collected acceptance of both scientific and religious factors...
Well since I'm in the same boat as Timmy Tucker I guess my question would be: Why do you hide?
