I have always thought the Sprint pulled off "sporty" and "stately" better than all the other STs.  Happy riding, shiny side up  [thumbsup]

I didn't know we couldn't talked about non-duc stuff on this board.

ESPECIALLY, when the OP already owns a make the beast with two backsing monster.

And I'm pretty sure that nothing in your profession would cause you to take offense to people talking about Sprint ST's in a hobbiest fashion.

BTW, nice addition to the stable, Travis!

Have fun with it. But watch the weight, she's a porker and when they fall over they fall over HARD. Ask my old boss, who dumped one a day before delivery and gave himself some pretty good injuries in the process (I don't mean he crashed, I mean he fell over and it landed on him).

A lot of owners complain about heat from the engine, there is a fix offered by dealers. It's adhesive foam inserts that glue to the inside of the fairings to keep the heat off your legs. To get it, go to a dealer and pregnant dog about how hot it feels and they should mention the fix.

this has taken an ugly ugly turn.

i called to add the triumph to my policy with usaa and i was sent to progressive. no warning, i got nothing i the mail, no e-mails were sent. they jsut stopped writing policies for bikes.
WTF #1

for less coverage i was quoted almost twice as much.
WTF#2

it now looks like they will stop renewing policies that are already there. once again, no warnng, no calls, e-mails, letters, nothing.
The whole reason i moved everything i could to them was because they were cheap and easy to deal with. now i have to go out and deal with the other companies that rape me for my chosen method of conveyance.
WTF #3

i'm ready to hurt someone now.

Check with GEICO, I've got two fairly new vehicles with full coverage, another car with minimums, and two bikes with minimums for under $100/month ~

i checked around with all the major places, and a few smaller ones. Geico gave me the best quote and feeling, though i'm still scared to see what will happen should something go wrong.

I've heard so many horror stories about the whole insurance thing and usaa has always been absolutely wonderful that i'm just not ready to trust someone else right now.

so if i need to file a claim and i have issues with them, that gecko will make a nice wallet or keychain.

i pick it up tomorrow! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I've never had to file a claim, so no FHE there.  Although, I did have no problem adding my fiancée on ALL my vehicles as an authorized driver complete with documentation.  Nationwide is the only insurance that I've ever had to file a claim with and had no problem, but the will no longer insure me on a motorcycle due to said claim ~

Apparently they stopped writing them a couple years ago. But to dump your existing policies to Progressive? Screw that. USAA is my auto/homeowner/renter insurance. But because of their stupid moto rule, I am insured through Foremost. They are very easy to work with (owned by Farmer's) and priced very reasonably...

I remember when I got my 1st bike a few years ago. Found out USAA is farming out new policies to Progressive. I was told at the time that if you're stationed overseas, you can still get USAA (although not in Japan - different Insurance reqs). And, when you get back, they'd be grandfathered in. Now, I'm wondering if that'll still hold true or if ALL of it is going to be pushed through progressive. Damn...

DO NOT romp on the throttle in first when it's at 6-7K. the front launched skyward. i'll admit that i puckered. [laugh]

so it's fully past break in bow and i got some wide open road to play on.

i pulled a small roll on at around 70 in 2nd gear (it seems to be geared pretty tall)

the max speed is showing 124.3 mph and i still had 2 gears and half the powerband to go.

what is the point of having a 1000cc bike for the street again?
