Title: Re: Congratulations to... Post by: Desmostro on March 15, 2009, 05:44:04 PM w00t!
OH YA, another biker is born. It's only that much more authentic in this weather. We ain't in So cal, it's usually like this. [cheeky] You also get the bonus of knowing you can handle 5 hours of cold/wet in the saddle. Nothin' a a hot bath can't cure ;D Way to go A! Title: Re: Congratulations to... Post by: mostrobelle on March 15, 2009, 05:49:10 PM Brrrr... I didn't even think about that. I was on the bicycle yesterday morning freezin' my butt off on the side of Mt. Diablo. I didn't warm up until I took a shower and then a bath later that evening.
Title: Re: Congratulations to... Post by: MendoDave on March 15, 2009, 05:55:06 PM How can you get cold pedaling your heart out? What about all the deep breathing, legs on fire, sweat on the back, wish I had a lower gear stuff?
Title: Re: Congratulations to... Post by: b. on March 15, 2009, 06:20:04 PM Niiice! [thumbsup]
Title: Re: Congratulations to... Post by: duckwrench13 on March 15, 2009, 06:29:41 PM WOOOOO-HOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Title: Re: Congratulations to... Post by: mostrobelle on March 15, 2009, 06:45:31 PM How can you get cold pedaling your heart out? What about all the deep breathing, legs on fire, sweat on the back, wish I had a lower gear stuff? My legs give out before my heart does. As long as I pace my legs my heart doesn't really get a chance to go nuts, so I stay cold. I'm guessing that BikerGoddess had a bit more adrenaline on her side--hopefully that kept her warm. Few things suck more than riding (a moto) cold! Title: Re: Congratulations to... Post by: Michael Moore on March 15, 2009, 07:01:53 PM Congrats Anne, nice work! [thumbsup]
Title: Re: Congratulations to... Post by: sfarchie on March 15, 2009, 07:45:30 PM Congrats, Anne! [clap] What score did you get? I'm not embarrassed I got a crapy 16. But like the boards, a 70% score gives the same license as a 100% score. At least it helps me feel better to believe that. ;)
Title: Re: Congratulations to... Post by: Spidey on March 15, 2009, 08:56:30 PM Wooho!!! Congrats, BG.
Now you just need a dry clutch to go with that new moto license. [thumbsup] [moto] Title: Re: Congratulations to... Post by: ducnymph on March 15, 2009, 09:35:41 PM Congrats Lady!!! Hells yeah!!! [thumbsup] [moto] ;D
Title: Re: Congratulations to... Post by: BikerGoddess on March 15, 2009, 10:40:00 PM Thanks everyone! It was colder than a witch's tit yesterday at City College but the weather gods compromised today and provided balmy misty weather. Cool group of people in my class. I think we should have gotten extra credit for putting up with the weather. The MSF video from the classroom session includes numerous clips of the same yellow SS as DQ's--I had to chuckle every time it came on screen. Nobody in my group dropped a bike and only one person decided to bow out early (at the instructor's polite suggestion). Surprisingly enough, I didn't have the lowest score in the class. The Road Mower stood out like a neon red special ed student on the range but got me through it all in reliable fashion. I'm just so damn glad I finally got it over with and never have to take the class again.
Of course I had to pimp the hell out of the D Store's 10% discount for recent MSF BRC graduates (<90 days), but pimped Scuderia and others as well. I'm sure I'll be seeing a few classmates at the D Store soon. Title: Re: Congratulations to... Post by: somegirl on March 16, 2009, 05:12:01 AM Congrats Anne!!!
