w00t!

OH YA, another biker is born.
It's only that much more authentic in this weather. We ain't in So cal, it's usually like this.  cheeky

You also get the bonus of knowing you can handle 5 hours of cold/wet in the saddle.

Brrrr... I didn't even think about that.  I was on the bicycle yesterday morning freezin' my butt off on the side of Mt. Diablo.  I didn't warm up until I took a shower and then a bath later that evening.

How can you get cold pedaling your heart out? What about all the deep breathing, legs on fire, sweat on the back, wish I had a lower gear stuff?

My legs give out before my heart does.  As long as I pace my legs my heart doesn't really get a chance to go nuts, so I stay cold.

I'm guessing that BikerGoddess had a bit more adrenaline on her side--hopefully that kept her warm.  Few things suck more than riding (a moto) cold!

Congrats, Anne! applause What score did you get? I'm not embarrassed I got a crapy 16. But like the boards, a 70% score gives the same license as a 100% score. At least it helps me feel better to believe that. Wink

Thanks everyone! It was colder than a witch's tit yesterday at City College but the weather gods compromised today and provided balmy misty weather. Cool group of people in my class. I think we should have gotten extra credit for putting up with the weather. The MSF video from the classroom session includes numerous clips of the same yellow SS as DQ's--I had to chuckle every time it came on screen. Nobody in my group dropped a bike and only one person decided to bow out early (at the instructor's polite suggestion). Surprisingly enough, I didn't have the lowest score in the class. The Road Mower stood out like a neon red special ed student on the range but got me through it all in reliable fashion. I'm just so damn glad I finally got it over with and never have to take the class again.

Of course I had to pimp the hell out of the D Store's 10% discount for recent MSF BRC graduates (<90 days), but pimped Scuderia and others as well. I'm sure I'll be seeing a few classmates at the D Store soon.
