Title: Fork Reflector Removal Post by: Newcatista on April 04, 2009, 08:31:20 AM I know this is a newb question, but what is the best way to remove the fork reflectors on my 696? I just got done painting the headlight bracket and removing the turn signal extensions(much better), etc, but I don't want to screw up the shocks. I tried prying on them a little, but those suckers are on there good!
Thanks Title: Re: Fork Reflector Removal Post by: He Man on April 04, 2009, 09:51:56 AM attack it with a hair dryer then some degreaser if you have. it should come off much easier then.

Title: Re: Fork Reflector Removal Post by: Raux on April 04, 2009, 10:26:59 AM dental floss for a cutter, followed by WD40 on a rag to take off the goo.

goo-gone, or rubbing alcohol, or WD-40 to get the last bits of sticky off. Title: Re: Fork Reflector Removal Post by: Goldeneye on April 04, 2009, 10:44:12 AM Don't pry, too easy to mar the fork legs.
Just give 'em a good twist. [thumbsup] Then you can clean the residue with WD. Title: Re: Fork Reflector Removal Post by: Newcatista on April 04, 2009, 10:44:48 AM I really pussed out on that one...Decided to man-up on them and got them off, no prob! Thanks for the replies.
