Now including both A & B 7500 services!

Ducati just made your next motorcycle purchase decision easier by introducing "Full Factory Support," a zero cost maintenance program. This summer ride with Ducati Factory Support, including no maintenance costs and the industry's most comprehensive warrantyâ€"24 months/unlimited mileage.

Program Period:   June 4 - August 31, 2009
Eligible Motorcycles:   All new, previously unregistered 2008 and 2009 Ducati models
Where Available:   Participating authorized Ducati dealerships

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What models are eligible for the program?
All new and previously unregistered 2008 and 2009 Ducati models purchased from June 4, 2009 to August 31, 2009 at participating dealerships.

How do I know I am signed up for the program?
Your dealer will have you sign an acknowledgment form and then register you online. An e-mail confirmation will be provided to you once the paperwork has been received by Ducati North America.

How do I know if my dealer is participating?

Participating dealers will be listed by 11:59pm PST on Wednesday, June 10. But why wait? Tell your dealer to sign up now!

What services are covered under the program?
The Full Factory Support maintenance program covers the first two services as outlined in your owners manual and include:

Service 1: to be performed within 6 months of delivery date or 600 miles, whichever comes first.

Service 2: to be performed within 12 months of delivery date or 7,500 miles*, whichever comes first. To be eligible for the program, Service 2 service must be completed no later than 30 days within one year of the delivery date of your motorcycle.

*If you reach 7,500 miles within the first year you are also eligible for Service A (valve inspection) to be done in conjunction with the 2nd Service. See your owners manual for complete details.

so when does ducati seattle go nationwide with dealers on each coast?  dealers make or break the owning experience for this brand and I think this program will be no exception.

Thanks for passing on the info, Dave.

Well that's f-ing pointless.
They are paying for an oil and oil filter change, plus checking all the things you as the owner should be checking before every ride, and forcing YOU the consumer to pay for the most important parts of the 7500 mile service:

Checking and adjusting the valve clearances.
Checking and replacing the air filter.
Checking the timing belt tension.
Checking the throttle body synchronization and idle speed.

Nearly Worthless.

BC.

ha!  It's a bit misleading saying "$0 maintenance" when the *expensive* part of owning a Duc isn't even covered. (read: valves + belts)

Sure wish I had a "good" dealer nearby. Very good point Statler. Working as a tech in a high line car dealership, I completely agree.

This is how you do a maintenance program on expensive, luxury branded vehicles: http://www.bmwusa.com/Standard/Content/Owner/BMWUltimateService/Default.aspx (http://www.bmwusa.com/Standard/Content/Owner/BMWUltimateService/Default.aspx)

yeah, interesting that the valves aren't included in the 2nd service, since it's the main reason for that service.  (the rest should be done more frequently by the rider, but so often isn't).

Dave,

You're the coolest.  You were very helpful last year when i bought my 696, even though i'm in Los Angeles, and you weren't likely to see a dime from me.  You are a credit to Duc Dealers everywhere.  I might just fly up there to buy my next bike (in a few years) and break it in with a ride down here (may have to stop in San Fran for the break in service).  Of course, that doesn't help a lot with the fact that i have the choices i have here for service, but at least i can get the bike from a class act.

Now if only they were offering this up retroactively for people that bought bikes in the last year  (hint, hint).

Legendary - that's great to hear.  No excuses for an 848 now  [evil]

Cool, I had a major impact on a motorcycle Manufacturer!
Now if I hadn't already bought an 848 last summer, and my gf picked up a 696...

Hmmnn...
Then again, if I didn't enjoy checking the valve clearances, I would trade in my Red 848 for the White 848 over at Northern CO BMW/Ducati they have as their demo 848.

Why?
The VIN on it is 6969. ;)
