I am tired of putting the inspection on the fork. I don't like it, it is fugly and the glue never goes away.
Who has an inspection plate/mount? Side or rear? Pics?
I bought my 620 in Virginia. Their inspection stickers are certainly large and difficult to remove. I wish I had an answer for your actual question but it's clear why you're asking it. Good luck with finding something.
I've got a 900, so it's got the DSS type rearsets. I picked up a ready made plate from the HD shop in FFX. It was a bit costy, since it was all polished and such.. but it did save me fab time. It was a ready fit - I just removed one of the rearset bolts, loosened the other and slipped the plate into place between the rearset and the frame, and put all the bolts back.
You can just see it on the left edge of this photo

Didn't think so. [cheeky]
As Yuu suggested these are popular with crusiers, I have them on all my bikes, mine are SS, believe I paid about $10 each for them. On the M900 it is mounted behind the Cyclecat Rear set, on the ST3 and the S2R1000 it is mounted behind the passenger peg bracket. Label/sticker remover will get the crap off of your fork tube - it takes awhile but it works. - Gene
I have mine mounted on the left side as depicted below. I was going to also include a pic of my clutch plate, but decided against it :P

just a thought. i actually bought my bike from Va, and it had that nasty sticker on the forks.....so i had to replace the forks with adjustables.
Twolane-
Where did you get yours?

That sounds like the most appropriate solution for VA bikes taken to other states. For those stuck in VA, that would mean messing up the adjustables.

I've gotten the SS ones from Winchester Motosports, but I know Patriot in Fairfax was stocking them, but I'm not sure what they were made out of, looked chrome? - Gene
Polished SS - that's where I got mine.

I do. It's just the edge, but that fugly orange thing creeping into frame in the top-left quadrant is it. But you can see more of the plate, and where it's been bolted between the rearset and frame.
And fancy man, you want clutch plates - here's some

Now dat's purty!
BTW, forgot to mention that in VA, the inspection must be on the left side. - Gene
Really? Not that I doubt there's a silly reg like that - but I wonder why it matters.
Hmmm my 620 came to me with the inspection on the right fork.. And the local garage slapped the previous on on the right fork leg as well. Guess they don't know that rule... but they also don't know the minutia like the minim distance from the center line that signals are supposed to have either.

nothing mentioned in the statute like that, it just says "on a plate for the purpose or anywhere designated by the superintendent as appropriate"

well thanks bro! i have never seen that nor heard of it! now i am definitely getting a plate for the
left side!
Ducatiz,
John at Redline put it on for $20.00 when I recently had the bike in for new tires and the annual inspection. The nomenclature on my receipt is "polished stickerplate w/ tab, item # SKPSPST."

Yuu-is this the Oberon Cyclone plate? I almost went with this one, but bought the EVR instead. Now I wish I would have gone with my initial instinct. [bang]
