THIS! I was born and raised in the south as a Southern Baptist. I bought it hook, line, and sinker until I reached my late teens and started asking questions. Thankfully I was very well-read, and that showed me there were other points of view, other ways of living, and I got the hell out of Dodge. It's so weird to go back home and everybody's drinking the Kool-Aid 'cept me.

we started out pentacostal and switched to southern baptist. :o
i don't have relatives where we lived (AL) as i was growing up in it, so i don't see the people i knew then. it's notuntil i see things like this that it reminds me of what it was really like.
