Title: Replacing gauges on a 2007 695. Post by: deepak8612 on December 30, 2009, 04:46:10 AM So I am definitely switching out the headlight and have already taken off the bar and replaced with clip ons. It only makes sense to replace the chunky gauges as well. I checked out http://www.kosonorthamerica.com/ (http://www.kosonorthamerica.com/) and they have some nice ones. But I know that the 07 has the immobilizer. Assuming this is/will be an issue I figured I would throw it out to you guy who know a little more about this.
Thoughts? Title: Re: Replacing gauges on a 2007 695. Post by: DucHead on December 30, 2009, 06:59:52 AM You can get your ECU reflashed by Ducati Depot, and probably a few others. There is at least one thread on the Board discussing this.
I think you're local to RDU. If you want some help wiring up the new gauges, gimme a holler. Title: Re: Replacing gauges on a 2007 695. Post by: Howie on December 30, 2009, 06:54:27 PM ECU reflash
Aftermarket computer Relocate immobilizer portion of cluster. Duck Stew may be able to help with this. Title: Re: Replacing gauges on a 2007 695. Post by: accrocker on December 31, 2009, 01:38:11 PM Dont waste your time trying to relocate the board out of the factory gauge. That was only necessary before the software was available to eliminate the immobilizer in the ecu. I have done this on my bike. You can read the thread here...http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=30838.0 (http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=30838.0)

The bike is a work in progress at the moment. As I do one thing to it, I find something else I want to do. The cold and work have made my time working on the bike few and far between. Thanks for the offer, i might have to take you up on that when I get the gauges in. |
