It's not a safety car, it's a safety bike! Hey, wait a minute... Buell's out of business. Guess they have to go back to the safety car. Probably will be a Yugo with Edmondson driving. [bang] [laugh] Hope Hopper stays out of it's way. [moto]

You want irony?  I watched Faster again the other day.  Remember when John Ulrich says that John Hopkins might be the second coming of Kevin Schwantz??
 [roll]

I wonder if he never got a chance to really shine (injuries, uncompetitive rides, etc.), or if he's just not alien material?

You've seen him smile. You're sure those things are made of this Earth?

Nope...
he's a professional rider.
I'm an amateur keyboard jockey.
He still will
never beat the fab four...that's all this bs is about...not whether we can keep up with him.

I did once, I cut underneath him at Goddards and pipped him by wheel at the line. Then I woke up and ate a hearty breakfast. [coffee]

Have you ever beaten Johnny Rock Page? Me either ;D

Come on, racing needs armchair opinions--its part of the fan experience ;D.  After all, I can't cook, but I have all kinds of opinions about food.  I can't sing better than Celine Dion, but I don't like her music.  I couldn't beat Hopkins in a hundred lifetimes, but I can still consider whether he lived up to the hype from the Faster movie.

I just want to see him go head to head with Mladin....that's the litmus test for me...but since Mladin ain't coming back...

The main team the American has been associated with is the brand new FB Corse project, which is to field a three-cylinder 800cc bike designed by Oral EngineeringDoes that mean the bike and the rider will suck?

For at the Anaheim Supercross round on Sunday, John Hopkins announced to the assembled crowd...Quote from: gm2 on December 29, 2009, 08:23:20 AM
