They are on sale for $30, if you want the fork supports which attach they are $10 extra. It's a single piece of tube steel. It is not a pitbull, but under normal use, they will last almost as long. 4 polyurethane wheels and the tube is about 1.25" thick. The swingarm "claws" have a 3/4" thick bar steel mount. VERY nice. Mgr of the store near me said they are going to up the price to $50 soon as they are selling like crazy. Title: Re: Harbor Freight rear and front stands A+ Post by: mookieo2 on February 01, 2010, 09:45:19 AM I`ve had one for a year now and it works great. I leave the bike on it all the time and even sit on the bike while its up on the stand with no worries.

Title: Re: Harbor Freight rear and front stands A+ Post by: ducatiz on February 01, 2010, 01:39:50 PM Would this work with a single sided swingarm? The rear setup will not. But if you want it for the front, you can buy the fork adapters (extra $10) Title: Re: Harbor Freight rear and front stands A+ Post by: 1KDS on February 01, 2010, 02:31:17 PM [thread jack]
I just got a pitbull sss rear stand and when it is on the right side of the bike the bike seems to lean to the right (toward the stand) normal? I haven't used a sss stand before. Title: Re: Harbor Freight rear and front stands A+ Post by: dropstharockalot on February 03, 2010, 04:06:56 AM I picked up Harbor Freight's other rear stand, as they were out of the tube one at the store I went to:
(http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/photos/99700-99799/99701.gif) Suprisingly well-built... the welds are solid, the hardwear is all pretty stout, no sharp or unfinished edges... I'm not wild about the potential of those spool supports to claw my swingarm, but I think a quick wrap with some spare packing foam will manage that. I figure it will suffice for light duty, and with the 20% off coupon from one of my bikeporn mags, it was only $4.83 after tax. //jk. I think it set me back about $22. Title: Re: Harbor Freight rear and front stands A+ Post by: ducatiz on February 04, 2010, 03:05:20 AM that bottom photo looks more like user error than product malfunction to me... i think so. mine pops up just fine and straight. $30!! Title: Re: Harbor Freight rear and front stands A+ Post by: WetDuc on February 04, 2010, 03:31:37 AM I'll give it a shot.
Goin to get mine today. Title: Re: Harbor Freight rear and front stands A+ Post by: ducatiz on February 04, 2010, 04:41:20 AM I'll give it a shot. Goin to get mine today. pick up the front fork adapters for $10 too . you'll be glad you did. i bought two of these and wish i had bought two sets of adapters. i already have a couple of rear stands. with a bunch of bikes, it helps to have them up. Title: Re: Harbor Freight rear and front stands A+ Post by: Fergus on February 04, 2010, 07:41:49 AM pick up the front fork adapters for $10 too . What do the fork adapters look like? I picked up one of the stands a couple of months ago when I couldn't find my old one after a move. I found it (found my red key too!), but hate my old front stand. Maybe this with the adapters would be better...Title: Re: Harbor Freight rear and front stands A+ Post by: ducatiz on February 04, 2010, 10:45:34 AM What do the fork adapters look like? Works great!

This stand also has wheels, the downside that I have with it is it doesn't raise the bike very far of the ground. Just enough to spin the tire.(http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/photos/99700-99799/99701.gif) Suprisingly well-built... the welds are solid, the hardwear is all pretty stout, no sharp or unfinished edges...
