pick up the front fork adapters for $10 too . you'll be glad you did. i bought two of these and wish i had bought two sets of adapters. i already have a couple of rear stands. with a bunch of bikes, it helps to have them up.

What do the fork adapters look like? I picked up one of the stands a couple of months ago when I couldn't find my old one after a move. I found it (found my red key too!), but hate my old front stand. Maybe this with the adapters would be better...

I used my new rear stand on my buddy's 696 to support it while we put on clipons. Works great!

I picked up Harbor Freight's other rear stand, as they were out of the tube one at the store I went to:
Suprisingly well-built... the welds are solid, the hardwear is all pretty stout, no sharp or unfinished edges... I'm not wild about the potential of those spool supports to claw my swingarm, but I think a quick wrap with some spare packing foam will manage that. I figure it will suffice for light duty, and with the 20% off coupon from one of my bikeporn mags, it was only $4.83 after tax.
//jk. I think it set me back about $22.
There's paddles that HF sells for this stand. This stand also has wheels, the downside that I have with it is it doesn't raise the bike very far of the ground. Just enough to spin the tire.

The tubular one seems much more solid than the "low profile" bolt-together one.
