yet another answer to a question that was never asked.....
Have you driven over a Ford, lately?
Note to self: If you're rich enough, people will find it "interesting" instead of "bat-shit crazy" when you do things like this.
That's pretty cool stuff. I'm glad he's finding creative ways to spend what must be truly a glut of money. [thumbsup] [laugh]
OK
I'll ask it
Why?

Because sometimes when you are sitting around on your huge pile of money it doesn't occur to you that there are starving and homeless children dieing of some preventable disease due to unclean drinking water nearby. What may occur to you is that you have an over-riding desire to invest huge sums of time and money to build something completely useless but sure to get great reactions from people such as, "Wow! Hey, cool. I guess. Whatever. Wanna chew some Qat and watch camels spit on tourists?"

Hey sac tell it like it is why don't you [laugh] [laugh] [laugh] [laugh]

From the article, the owner is also
"a philanthropist in medicine, in one case, supplying a complete kidney stone operating theatre to a public hospital in Morocco and continues to fund its staff. Rabat Renal Failure unit , Rabat Hospital"
So, give some to those who need it and pley with the rest-I don't see anything wrong with it.

And I'll ask why he didn't build it with attention to detail if he was going to dump that much money into it?
I'll let some of the smaller nit-picky errors slide.
But the windshield frame's all wrong. The MB was a round tube frame, split windshield, with no rectangular insets beneath the glass. The frame he built is what would've been found on a CJ-3A or M38.
And the grille of an MB had 9 slats, not 7.
eta: My god, I just noticed it has a make the beast with two backsing tailgate. [roll]

Well, I'm guessing that box of ashes would fit neatly into a corner of the hanger.
