Title: Rear Axle Threads
Post by: Fergus on April 18, 2010, 03:23:39 PM
I've searched all over, but can't seem to figure this out. I'm sure I'll feel like an idiot when y'all tell me what's up...

I removed my rear wheel to get a new tire installed. Now, a few days later when I'm back to putting it on, I'm confused about the axle. It has about double the thread on one side as the other. Which side goes on the sprocket side?

Thanks,

-Ferg

It really doesn't matter.

Unless I'm missing something, the axle is threaded equally on both ends. Just put it through and even things up.

Thanks DP! That was quick.

I'll do that. Forgot to mention it's a 620, dss.

I figured it was a DSS, and regardless of axle size it's the same.
