Title: M696-796-1100 "no cowl cap" Post by: Chris, desmoworld on July 01, 2010, 10:29:26 AM Hey guys :)
as we speak yesterday i make some caps or replacement to cover the screw point if cowl are not use on the Monster 696/1100 i made some tests with the lowest high and for me looks cool but im not sure if you prefere a "cap" or a full replacement for this ... "cap" are easy to mount all times ... "replacement" are not so easy and with a little risc of brocken plastic hooks what do you think about the cap version ? I'm not a fan of having the original hardware on my seat, since it sticks out, but I also do not like the look of nothing there. How much you thinking to charge for this?
Title: Re: M696-796-1100 "no cowl cap" Post by: Chris, desmoworld on July 01, 2010, 12:00:03 PM hey chisel
so you prefere a full replacement not a cap ? price ... hmm have to see at the end , but about 13-18 Euro for a set caps near 13 Euro ... replacement near 18 Euro Chris Title: Re: M696-796-1100 "no cowl cap" Post by: ungeheuer on July 01, 2010, 12:38:29 PM Neat [thumbsup] I vote just the cap..... in gold ;D

this looks like you dont need the little plastic washers that come with the bike for when the seat cover is offer... nice i hate those. the dealer who delivered my bike thought they were washers for the mirrors [bang] so are they going to be 13 euro any color? Title: Re: M696-796-1100 "no cowl cap" Post by: M1100 on July 01, 2010, 03:54:35 PM I can't say for sure until you send me one of each in red to try out. PM me for my address, I'll even pay shipping [laugh]

Title: Re: M696-796-1100 "no cowl cap" Post by: Chris, desmoworld on July 19, 2010, 12:23:07 PM Ciao,
no ... this are specialy made for "no cowl" but i´ve made allready a replacement for the original Screw , so if you have the cowl on the bike you need this (http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/hs065.snc4/34616_406362843852_366985198852_4381585_4171628_n.jpg) [roll] Chris Title: Re: M696-796-1100 "no cowl cap" Post by: DarkStaR on July 19, 2010, 01:06:00 PM Not that I have a 696/796/1100, but
A piece designed to work with both the cowl on and off could be possible. example: Cap and adaptor piece for when the cowl is being used, and just the Cap when the cowl is not being used. Does that make sense? Pretty much it would be the "no cowl cap", and an adaptor with the back side like the "cowl cap". Title: Re: M696-796-1100 "no cowl cap" Post by: Chris, desmoworld on July 19, 2010, 01:42:17 PM Makes no sense... diameter for use inside the cowl are a lot smaler than a good looking diameter to use without the cowl. Ducati give an Adapter inside the box, so its possible to use the cowl Version without the cowl... but Looks not good enough for me :-)
Title: Re: M696-796-1100 "no cowl cap" Post by: DarkStaR on July 19, 2010, 03:36:24 PM Makes sense. [thumbsup]

Title: Re: M696-796-1100 "no cowl cap" Post by: Raux on July 19, 2010, 07:15:15 PM Makes no sense... diameter for use inside the cowl are a lot smaler than a good looking diameter to use without the cowl. Ducati give an Adapter inside the box, so its possible to use the cowl Version without the cowl... but Looks not good enough for me :-) yeah that adapter is just a black plastic washer that is the same thickness as the seat cover. if you don't use it, there is a gap between the bolt and seat. I understand what you are saying Chris, plus it's good for you. now someone has to buy 2 sets from you to maintain the look with or without the cowl ;) Title: Re: M696-796-1100 "no cowl cap" Post by: Chris, desmoworld on July 20, 2010, 12:23:06 PM ... now someone has to buy 2 sets from you to maintain the look with or without the cowl ;) hey Raux, trust me ... if theres a good solution to have only 1 cap for both situations i made this one not two :D but i decided to offer a double set on special price ... safe money because lasered ergal screws needed only one times + little set-discount ;D for price infos please check our Sponsor section, i will post it there Thanks Chris Title: Re: M696-796-1100 "no cowl cap" Post by: Veloce-Fino on July 20, 2010, 12:51:43 PM I can't find anything on your site :P
