Title: Interesting news regarding Cyclecat Post by: Monstermash on July 23, 2010, 04:58:50 AM So I just got off the phone with Oncycles regarding replacement parts for some Cyclecat clipons. I was told that they are considering starting up production again for the Cyclecat line if there is enough interest. So if anyone is interested please put a call in to Oncycles and ask them about Cyclecat and maybe if they get enough calls they will start producing product again. [thumbsup]

;D Title: Re: Interesting news regarding Cyclecat Post by: He Man on July 23, 2010, 06:53:47 AM dont you remember what happened last time? Im sure they are just pulling your string, and im sure theres not enough people willing to tug on theirs.
Besides they are still making items, clip ons, sliders mostly. Title: Re: Interesting news regarding Cyclecat Post by: Magnus on July 23, 2010, 09:13:52 AM more cyclecrap? no thanks...
Title: Re: Interesting news regarding Cyclecat Post by: stopintime on July 23, 2010, 10:00:29 AM Interesting? Yes!
They would have to go all in this time though. I love the products and the people, but there's not much trust left. If they made a semi-decent selection and made it clear to us and vendors that they are serious and willing to invest - then maybe. Of course they would have to include all the new models as well, to make any money. [thumbsup] We've heard this same exact thing... many many times, for nearly 5 years now and I just don't think it's going to happen. Title: Re: Interesting news regarding Cyclecat Post by: foggy123 on July 23, 2010, 06:17:23 PM Same story different day/year. If they get enough orders to cover costs they will produce products on our dime. Support a vendor/shop that actually stocks or will get a product for you.

Title: Re: Interesting news regarding Cyclecat Post by: He Man on July 25, 2010, 03:48:51 AM They've been moving since March.
Title: Re: Interesting news regarding Cyclecat Post by: scduc on July 25, 2010, 07:43:19 AM I'd like to see them start production again. I had one of their triples and gear covers. Top of the line. Problem is with the economy the way it is, very little money is being fed to that market. And most people do not want to wait for the product once they've made thier decision to buy. (SpeedyMoto) Hope all works out for them though. Alex put out some great stuff.
Title: Re: Interesting news regarding Cyclecat Post by: DrDesmo on July 26, 2010, 12:30:26 PM Too funny. They should have sold off their designs / IP a few years ago before the relentless march of model innovation made them completely irrelevant.
Cheers, Adam Title: Re: Interesting news regarding Cyclecat Post by: MotoCreations on July 26, 2010, 02:00:29 PM Alex put out some great stuff. Alex wasn't involved with them for the final years due to some contractual disagreements from what I understand. Alex O. still does freelance machine work for individuals and custom Ducati sportbike builds for himself and a few customers. I'm sure he is always looking for additional work given the economy in Michigan... I'm sure he is always looking for additional work given the economy in Michigan... I only dealt with him between 00' and 02'. Not sure when he left, and I normally don't "name drop" however the few times we conversed, it was with utmost respsect. He clearly wanted his products to be the best and in MHO they were. Title: Re: Interesting news regarding Cyclecat Post by: Düb Lüv on July 26, 2010, 02:41:18 PM pffff. i'd still pass on cyclecats again. when they told me that replacement frame slider pucks were $50 each. and that was on top of the 10mm frame slider kit they were going to sell me that still needed to be machined to fit at full price.
