Hey gang.
Many of you who have ridden with me know my Rosie.
The time has come for us to part ways. I'm putting her up for sale.
Many people scoff at the 750's, but as many of you who have ridden with me also know, they can keep up with (and sometimes pass) the bigger bikes in the twisties if you treat them right.
This pic was taken a coupla weeks ago.

I've upgraded her suspension from the crap Paioli forks to fully rebuild-able and internally adjustable Showas off of an M900 with RaceTech Gold valves in them. [evil]
She's got clip-ons now, and a BrakeTech full floating ductile iron front rotor with steel brake line. All the other mods like Evoluzione clutch slave cylinder, kick stand cutoff delete, carbon fiber Termi high mounts, Pazzo adjustable levers, bar end mirrors, open airbox mod, new wheel bearings, cush drive bearings, new rose joints (ride height adjusters), blah blah blah....
I'll throw in a brand new (still with the stickers on) Pilot Power rear and Power Pure front as well as the stock forks.
Duck-Stew and I (mostly him) recently replaced the vertical cylinder base gasket so that's not an issue (that's an expensive repair you don't have to worry about). Nick (Speeddog) at Valley Ducati service has done all the other services and installed the brake upgrade and tuned the front suspension for a 180 lb rider. They can vouch for me...
Am I forgetting anything? Probably, but She is fast on the street, fast on the track, looks great, sounds even better.
Asking $3,500
Here's some more pics... She's no slouch
Before the clip-ons and upgraded forks:

She's got a great ass!

I'll take some more pics soon. I just made the decision last night.
So, if you know anybody who's looking for a good bike, send them my way.
Thanks! [beer]

Why Ryan, why?
I love that bike man!! You got something else lined up?
I hope you know it's gonna be a sad day when she rides off with someone else, for both of you! :'(
And, for anyone that is interested, I have ridden with Bacon and this bike is a beast!! It laughs at twisties, eats roads for breakfast, and growls like the hell hound the devil himself rode in on!
Sorry she has to go buddy, GLWS!
Oh, and what are you looking to get for it?
WTF? No, really, WTF?
Change is the only constant.
And I just found out why he's selling it [thumbsup]
updated some info....

Oh, there will still be a Duc...
What do you get when you take a 996 and add 3...? [evil]

I miss rosie already.

[thumbsup]
looking fwd to the new ride......
( Now is a REALLY good time to plan your uber-custom Monster..... built by you-know-who [beer])
That was quick!!! Well done!
The only thing I'm sad about regarding Rosie being sold is that it will be impossible (well, within my sanity limits) to keep up with you on your new ride.

Oh GOD yes. Damn, I did the test ride on the 'new' beast and even @ 5000 ft elevation, she's ALL THAT!!!
Sad and happy at the same time!! Can't wait to see the new ride. The one I'm not allowed to mention. ;)
Thanks guys. I'm sad to see her go, but to have a fellow DMF'r acquire her for his wife makes me happy. She's gone to a good home.
Now, for the new moto...
Stu took her for a shakedown ride to umm... make sure the mirrors worked okay.
Apparently first gear gets you to the speed limit and second gear is just shy of a ton. :o
The other four gears are just superfluous. :D ;D
I think this might be trouble... [evil]
[moto]
[bacon]
98mph in 2nd gear...well, if I pushed a *might* harder, she'd have done 100...

Stu,
Are you still doing work on ducs? You see, I heard you might be coming out here in early December to drop off a bike to someone. And I may have a line on a 749 that had been sitting in a garage for a few years. Sooooooo . . . would you be willing able to take a bike back with you? I could pick it up later.

Once I switched the bars on her from the Suburban Machinery to the clip-ons, my back and wrist problems actually
went away! But I have goofy proportions. Short torso and stupidly long arms. I have a +4 on the ape index. [laugh]

Elves rock the SBK
Nice....now just regear the 996 +3 & you'll be good to go......my 05 ZX10R did 102 in 1st gear all stock & now down 1 on the front keeps it at 90 or so....... [evil]
IMHO you can never have too much power [evil] You just have to know when & how to use it [thumbsup]
Thanks for the info, Gus... When she finally gets here, I'll pm you for more. [thumbsup]
