Once I switched the bars on her from the Suburban Machinery to the clip-ons, my back and wrist problems actually went away!  But I have goofy proportions.  Short torso and stupidly long arms.  I have a +4 on the ape index.

Nice....now just regear the 996 +3 & you'll be good to go......my 05 ZX10R did 102 in 1st gear all stock & now down 1 on the front keeps it at 90 or so.......

IMHO you can never have too much power   You just have to know when & how to use it
