Some shady Panama based company has now created 'Scottish Spirits' - a 12oz can of Whisky

In other odd news, they have an alcohol free version they market to Muslims. Alcohol free Whisky, I'll let your brains ruminate on that one
"Scottish Spirits suggests splitting it between three people, because it's the size of a regular beer can. Seriously: it's twelve ounces, or eight shots worth of whisky. Which is a lot for a container that's not resealable."
Splitting it between three people? I suppose if you're a 12 year old girl.
ummm....what fuctified Scottsman thought up this really blasphemous idea?.....
An Panamanian one...
What they need now is bourbon in a can.
there will be stories told about this product. most will end badly.
Mush-a ring dum-a do dum-a da
Wack fall the daddy-o, wack fall the daddy-o
There's whiskey in the can

It's a Whiskey Trio! One of the staples of Soviet-era Russian literature is the Vodka Troika - three people, usually strangers, who "invest" together in a bottle of vodka and then spend then next hour making damn sure they get their fair third (or maybe a little more) of the bottle. Which, I can attest, had a cheap plastic cap that disintegrated when removed, so there was no way to reseal the 750ml bottles. :o
12 oz. would be a duet, at best.

When talking about Panama based business or person, isn't it a given that they will be shady?

You too huh? [laugh]
irish whiskey does that to me. though to be honest, it's not like it's a long trip for me to be a dick.
scotch whisky however doesn't seem to do that to me.
on topic: that just sounds liek a bad idea. have these people never heard of a flask or re-using a plastic bottle?

because of the quantity, or the use of aluminum?
;D
on a similar level of WTF kind of marketing...recently I was at the liquor store picking up stuff, and was picking up a bottle of my GF's favorite bubbley ( the Coppola "Sofia" sparkling wine) and next to it was this cute lil box with 4 single serving 7.5-8oz cans....what got me was the fact that they have the standard pull tab opening like what is on your lil V8 cans and things of that nature, but it also had a sippy straw attached to the side of the can with the puncture end, almost as of the product was maybe encased in a bladder inside the can...we haven't opened one yet...but still...it made me think "How cute" & "WTF" at the same time...maybe this is in a similar idea of how this product is done?!?!?
Someone go try it all ready....

"The dram in a can: Scottish whisky the way South Americans like it..."
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure Panama is on our side of the Canal :)
Someone find this and mail it to me. I think it's video review time :)
I'll try it but 8oz of whiskey is not enough to share.
I want my own can thank you very much.

Panama is more or less split by the canal with Panama city being on the East (or south) side of the canal. However, Howard AFB is on the west (or North side) but I don't think that has anything to do with whiskey in a can.
I like how it says "very rare blend"
That's the most truthful marketing I've seen in years!!

It's a very rare blend of dirty puddle water, rubbing alcohol and cod fish liver oil.
I mean how often do you ever see THAT? Very rarely I'd say.

no, so you don't have to buy crappy whisky in aluminum.
the portion doesn't bother me aside from what happens if you can't finish it for some reason? you can't reseal the can.
Hey all,
From what I've gathered today:
1. Is canned here, but, still not sold here ...
2. The Canal Zone as such, is a memory, now it is called, to the east, Corregimiento de Ancon, to the west Distrito de Arraijan, to the north, Distrito de San Juan de Dios ...
3. Will make furthe inquiries on this subject ...
