Title: More Ducati Gheyness: Recipe Exchange Post by: mostrobelle on January 30, 2011, 10:31:49 AM If only to perpetuate the idea that all of us are poofters...not that there's anything wrong with that...I'm posting a recipe for the crab and artichoke dip that I made last night upon request. Feel free to post your own or just exchange insults here.
(Hayley is my youngest sister.) Hayley's Hot Artichoke Crab Dip 8 oz. cream cheese, softened 1 cup mayo 1 garlic clove, pressed (I used most of a roasted bulb in my version) 1 small can artichoke hearts in water, drained and chopped 8 oz. can crab meat 3/4 parmesan cheese, grated 1/3 cup green onions, thinly sliced 1 tsp. lemon zest 1/8 tsp. black pepper, or to taste optional: add cayenne pepper or sliced peppers for a kick (I didn't use them in mine) Preheat oven to 350. Toss all ingredients into a bowl and mix well. Spoon into an 8x8 casserole dish and bake 45 mins. or until golden brown. Garnish with bell peppers, more green onions and cheddar or parmesan about halfway through cooking. Serve warm with tortilla or pita chips. Note: You can double the recipe, but make sure not to make the concoction more than 1" or so deep in your dish. It doesn't cook right otherwise. (Trying mightily to get things back on track here...) Title: Re: More Ducati Gheyness: Recipe Exchange Post by: mostrobelle on January 30, 2011, 10:47:22 AM Hey, I didn't make it to your end of the room last night. A belated "hi" to you and Curly.
And, uh... I don't know. She's my little sister. I can't get past her scribbling all over my Social Studies map assignment back in jr. high and her smearing her crib with poo. Neither one of those things makes her particularly "hawt" in my book. As for the sister question, it was purely rhetorical - besides, if she had to endure you all those years she must have some good qualities. Anyway I cooked a Mrs Smith's cherry pie in the new oven last night and it was delicious.
Go to the frozen section and buy as many Mrs Smith's cherry pie's as you like, especially if they are on sale like mine were. preheat the oven to 400 deg F. Take the pie out of the package and place pie and pan on a cookie sheet (In case it drips) 25-30 minutes later pie is done. Let it cool for at least 10 seconds before enjoying with the beverage of your choice. Don't forget to turn off the oven when you are done. Stay tuned for for my Ghirardelli chocolate brownie recipe and my delicious lasagna recipe. 4-5 Cans of Summer Crisp Corn (de-canned) (http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51vDblNfU0L._SS280_.jpg) 1 Container of Feta Cheese (emptied) (http://spoonfuloflife.files.wordpress.com/2011/02/dsc05756.jpg) 6-7 Roma tomatoes (quartered and de-seeded) (http://www4.pictures.gi.zimbio.com/Salmonella+Outbreak+Raw+Tomatoes+Sickens+People+NVI1Al4IV8Bl.jpg) 3-4 Avocados (sliced) (http://www.countryliving.com/cm/countryliving/images/CLX0607COOK182DG-de.jpg) 1 Bottle of Champagne Salad Dressing (poured out) (http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_xbJqjSvr450/TFiYKXM4oJI/AAAAAAAABjU/6NYFUdkdjos/s1600/Girard%27sChampagneSm.jpg) This makes a lot. Reduce qty as you see fit. Feel free to throw some lemon juice on the avocados to try and keep them from browning if you're going to present the salad a while before it's going to be eaten. |
