There are 3 icons:
(http://ducatimonsterworldwide.org/Themes/black22_11final_tp/images/off.gif) = no new posts
(http://ducatimonsterworldwide.org/Themes/black22_11final_tp/images/on.gif) = new posts
(http://ducatimonsterworldwide.org/Themes/black22_11final_tp/images/on2.gif) = only new posts in child board
What you are probably seeing is #2 and #3, but you assume they are the same.
