For some reason, the NMC board doesn't have the new icon next to it when there are no new posts...
2005 S2R800
2006 S2R1000
2015 Monster 821

on my screen NMC does...

but board tech doesn't.... ;D

There are 3 icons:


=  no new posts

= new posts

= only new posts in child board

What you are probably seeing is #2 and #3, but you assume they are the same.
