Title: ECU Unleasehd experience? Post by: Privateer on March 28, 2011, 06:41:08 PM Anyone have any experience with ECU Unleashed? Any significant improvements I should expect if I go with it?

So if there replacing a Siemins or Mitsubishi ECU you are getting a much better ECU so there will be improvements. I never heard of them but a call to one of there tuning centers is in order.

I never heard of them but a call to one of there tuning centers is in order. well yeah that's the thing. A buddy of mine part-owns a shop and he's asking if I'm interested. Seems like a lot of cash to drop on my 620 (altho I'm not sure what the buddy-price is going to be). Title: Re: ECU Unleasehd experience? Title: Re: ECU Unleasehd experience? Post by: Privateer on March 29, 2011, 09:41:34 PM Take a bullet for us! [beer] haha. Yeah I'll just dip into my kids' college savings to reflash my ECU. Title: Re: ECU Unleasehd experience? Post by: Privateer on March 30, 2011, 06:28:14 PM hmm.. he's guessing cost price would be in the 350-400 range. Nothing firm yet, but I don't think I can justify that.
Title: Re: ECU Unleasehd experience? Post by: Link on March 30, 2011, 06:49:23 PM Seems a bit steep if it's just a reflash.
Title: Re: ECU Unleasehd experience? Post by: Privateer on March 31, 2011, 05:17:14 PM Seems a bit steep if it's just a reflash. yeah I don't know what all is included. I'm waiting to hear the price and then find out what's included. Title: Re: ECU Unleasehd experience? Post by: greenmonster on April 02, 2011, 11:43:01 AM Quote but they show the Magneti Marelli IAW 5AM for every bike No, they don`t. Seems like the correct ECU`s to me, except the 1993-99 (!) & 2000-02 M900. But I really wonder how they do the P8. AFAIK, you have to remove the chip & burn a new hex/bin file w a chipburner onto the chip. It is not flashed as f e 1,5 & 1,6. Title: Re: ECU Unleasehd experience? Post by: desmoworks on April 06, 2011, 08:23:39 PM For reference on price we reflash for $249... that is kind of the standard at the moment it seems.

I appreciate the reference point. Title: Re: ECU Unleasehd experience? Post by: scduc on April 10, 2011, 06:05:36 AM I'm having mine reflashed by Houston Superbikes. I've read good things on this board about them and I am confident that $250 wil get me what I am looking for. I'd find it hard to believe that any more hp is obtainable with out any engine work.
Title: Re: ECU Unleasehd experience? Post by: Privateer on May 10, 2011, 04:53:00 PM finally got back to me.
The retail price is $549. My price would be less than that, his cost, but still more than $250. He says there's no tuning to do, just flash and go, which doesn't make sense to me. Title: Re: ECU Unleasehd experience? Post by: Privateer on May 10, 2011, 06:07:00 PM got more info.
when reflashed they match the new settings with a map to match your intake/exhaust/preferred idle speed, etc etc. Title: Re: ECU Unleasehd experience? Post by: junior varsity on May 11, 2011, 06:12:07 AM apparently my monsters use a marelli 15M... news to me.
