I had a friend once tell me, "the ducati is like a beautiful woman trying to run in
High heels.  The Suzuki (his preferred ride) is like Michael Johnson ... Ugly but
Effective.". Same thing with the BMW (although I would ask that you check out
The red / white / blue in person before judging).

I've seen it.  Friend of mine on Oahu has that bike.  I've put about a hundred miles on one and walked away unimpressed.

I think H.S. Thompson had put it more correctly:
"the Ducati is like the magic bullet in Dallas that went sideways and hit JFK and the Governor of Texas at the same time."

In sport mode perhaps?  Frustrating throttle response.  Race mode is impressive,
IMHO.

Seeing that doesn't make me want an RC8 any less.

Those must have been mainland miles ........ Takes a lot to impress you it seems  ;D  ;D

I'd still go with the SP just because it looks so good and it sounds so mean.

Not really.  Thing just felt like it was stepping all over itself  with all the electronics.

It's funny. The oen of the local Ducati dealers has some RSV4's left over and they said it was really difficult to sell them even though the owner of the dealership said it was the best SBK of the bunch. He sold them for crack head cheap. I wish I had the money at the time to buy one.

Yea...  Those things are going cheap.   ???

I think the RSV is the prettiest of the bunch.  It also sounds mean with an aftermarket exhaust and for those prices I only wish I had the extra cash right now.

never really liked the gp style cans... they just sort look too much a bit function over form for me.  they just sort of stick out there.  that akra's look way better imo, and the sound is incredible.
