That's what I get for trying to do anything this early in the morning.
Ouch! But that's what he gets for wearing white boots. :D
Seen it before, great photo sequence, really shows what went wrong and what he did to make it worse (IE: chopping the throttle).
Real question is: when are you going to show us how to ride your 675? ;D

Not sure he could have avoided the highside - it was probably over before he knew it.

Real question is: when is my wife going to let me out of the house are you going to so you can show us how to ride your 675? :-[
Fixed that for ya! [laugh]
I'm hoping Steve and I are finished with the Monster's suspension on Saturday (you know how it is with two tards working on a bike ;D) and that there's time left over to set the suspension as best I can for the Daytona. Uggghhh...then I'm gonna have to choose which sweet ride to bring for Sunday. [bang] [laugh] [laugh]
I didn't read the entire triumpth675.net thread for other observations/comments, but it looked like to me it would have been a benign enough low-side had he not try to save it by counter-steering. Of course it all happens in an instant, and I would have probably reacted the same way (assuming I could ever achieve that kind of lean angle).
Incredible sequence of photos. Thanks for sharing.
Tony tony, it was right in his first post:
"So I was trying a different line into Turn 9, which is a bit off camber. The area was also a bit dusty.
Even though I wasn't going all that fast, I think I gave my SV650 just a little too much throttle for the lean angle I was at and accounting for the dust on the track. Here is the result:"

Ohhhhhh, buuuurrrrnnnnnnn!
No, no burn there. Some times the SD wants to be ridden like that. Think mtn/dirt bike.

Isn't that the way it always is? Bring a pretty date to the dance and everyone wants a turn.

Fixed that for ya. There's no kind of to it. I didn't see the other post...oops! That's what I get for cheating on the DMF. :-[
yeah - I'd seen it to but figured not to out you since it's just in here. I'm not really sure if general Derby rules, section C, para 1 apply in CAM.

You must get out more man... There's a big board out there beyond the borders of CAM you know ;)
If I got out more, I wouldn't have time to read even the CAM section. Or SideBurn. Or BikeExif. Or a dozen other blogs.
Not that I don't have a life I mean, uh, why this very evening I got important stuff to do. Somewhere. Oh look over there! A Ducati!
