Title: Re: Bar end mirrors...now what? Post by: Trenchdigger on June 14, 2008, 09:02:58 AM I left mine alone. Didn't think about flipping them.
Title: Re: Bar end mirrors...now what? Post by: RavnMonster on June 14, 2008, 09:49:49 AM my S4R must be different than all of yours. My mirrors are mounted on a male thread that is attached to the brake and clutch levers. Maybe I can cap them somehow?

What prevents the flippage. Is it the way the clip is made? Title: Re: Bar end mirrors...now what? Post by: lazarus7 on June 14, 2008, 03:05:28 PM i just plugged mine.....

My monster is an 05 S4R, The mirrors are mounted on the clutch and brake levers, there are male threaded studs on top that the mirrors are mounted to .. so flipping them upside down would be a little difficult. I not 100% sure, but the stock mirror mounts on your bike are the same as on all Monsters. There shouldn't be anything to prevent doing the flip, but if you can't do it then just use the plugs. The lever perch is cast as part of the top clamp, so there's no way to flip that I can see. Oh well. Title: Re: Bar end mirrors...now what? Post by: roy-nexus-6 on June 18, 2008, 07:04:40 AM I'm still looking for bar end mirrors which will fit my S4 stock bars :'(

Guess plugging is the only way. :( Title: Re: Bar end mirrors...now what? Post by: NvrSummer on June 19, 2008, 07:15:27 AM exactly.. that is how mine are. There is no way to just flip them over. Guess plugging is the only way. :( Huh, odd that an '01 and '05 would be similar. I figured Ducati just changed the mount sometime after '01. I need to get some frame plugs for an upcoming tail chop anyhow, so I'll just plug the old mirror holes. Regardless, I'm so glad to have those stock mirrors off! Wow, what a difference! |
