Title: AMA membership Post by: speedknot on April 15, 2011, 06:33:21 PM I was just on the AMA site and noticed that they have a membership option(auto renewal) that included roadside assistance. It's $39 for the year. Not a bad deal. Didn't realize its like AAA for bikes.
Title: Re: AMA membership Post by: DoubleEagle on April 15, 2011, 08:03:12 PM It's a good idea to support an entity that tries to protect Motorcyclist's rights to ride as we have been now, in the past and in the future.

Nice to have the peace of mind of roadside assistance while supporting an organization that fights for our rights. Auto renewal in AMA and life in NRA. Title: Re: AMA membership Post by: speedknot on April 18, 2011, 09:37:33 AM Yep, and for what it's worth, I belong to both. Auto renewal in AMA and life in NRA. Yeah but will the NRA provide immediate gunsmith assistance when your pistola malfunctions at the range? Title: Re: AMA membership Post by: twolanefun on April 22, 2011, 12:01:24 PM I wish everyone on here would join, it's a shame we have so few members compared to how many we have riding two wheels. - Gene

Not saying you're lying. Its just that with all the MC shops here in NYC, they couldn't find a capable transporter? >:( I can understand if you break down somewhere in bummake the beast with two backs Wyoming, but in NYC? The capable transporter has to be willing to work for whatever AMA pays. Anyway, back to AMA. They are not as big and wealthy as people think. The smaller the membership the less they can do for us. That is why I am a member. Title: Re: AMA membership Post by: ducatiz on April 23, 2011, 04:10:57 AM Howie has explained what happened to me. There are plenty of tows who can haul a bike but none that will tow for 50 bux
