Post by: roy-nexus-6 on June 17, 2008, 03:12:55 AM Interesting thing about the 696.
1. Tank color can be changed easily, and it comes stock with a non-scratch 'stripe'. 2. Tank dings are no more - vents, and interchangeable panels. 3. headlight is already low profile. 4. indicators are all LEDs. 5. 'tail chop' is essentially stock. 6. concealed wiring stock. 7. underseat exhausts - stock what else is there left for us to do? aftermarket mirrors? that's it? ;D Title: Re: German and Italian machines... The reason we feel so strongly about the Monster is the same reason we like the German made cars. I have a 93 BMW 325I and a 96 M900. I love them both [thumbsup] and although neither have a great deal of power, they have enough and there handling is like no other. Even though they are both older vehicles, they both put a smile [cheeky] on my face every time I drive/ride them. And besides, we like having something a little different. [clap]

Post by: Buford on June 22, 2008, 06:32:11 PM The Euro stuff I've had...
Four Ducs... ST2, 750 Monster, 999, 750 Supersport Four German cars... BMW 318i, Porsche 912E, Porsche 944, Audi A6 Quattro Brit... Triumph Bonneville T-100 watch... Tag Heuer Formula One Oddly, I'm mostly a fan of Japanese stuff. I get a boner when things don't break, and I've had real good luck with Japanese cars and bikes. [evil] I've just had so many things with wheels that a few were bound to come from Europe. Plus, it's hard to pass up a German sports car or an Italian motorcycle every now and then. I'm slightly interested in the new BMW "1 series" convertibles, and there is a part of me that has always wanted a boxer-engine motorcycle. For some strange reason, I am also attracted to the idea of having a Husqvarna dualsport. I'm guessing I'll survive without any more German vehicles. I can see a Lexus IS350 or SC in my future instead. But... I'll have more European motorcycles. ;D Title: Re: German and Italian machines... Post by: Alex on May 01, 2009, 09:59:27 PM I may not have quite as big-ballin' a collection as some of you guys, but I do appreciate the german/italian combo!
Here are my 330i sport, and my m900ie (no, I didn't do a cutesy photo shoot of both vehicles snuggled up together at some viewpoint...hahaha, not that I haven't done that in the past): (https://lh5.ggpht.com/_ZMJkTsFtfMw/SX5-fcuVwyI/AAAAAAAAAFs/WpXoAjrFzQQ/s800/photo%286%29.jpg) (http://lh3.ggpht.com/_ZMJkTsFtfMw/SCIPYzAF82I/AAAAAAAAADQ/MtiFrReoUdk/s800/ducati%20half%20cover.jpg) I'm not saying I wouldn't like to have the newest fanciest BMW and Ducati from 2010, but as far as awesomeness value per dollar is concerned, my vehicles kick freaking ass. Post by: ArcDeDucati on June 18, 2009, 06:51:58 AM Of course I have the 6spd. no ladymatic here. I love it. I'm not a turbo fan so i didn't go for the 135, also didn't want to spend another 6 grand , even though it's a ton faster. This has plenty of power and rips through turns. After having an A4 I was looking for something light and agile (porsche CaymanS was the first choice, but yeah right) and it was relatively cheap at $28,000, after some hard-nosed negotiating. The sports package is a must have and the only option worth spending on IMO. After having a fully loaded A4 I realized I don't use have the shit it came with and might as well thrown dollar bills down the toilet.
If your considering one let me know so I can tell you a little more. Title: Re: German and Italian machines... The German - 1993 BMW 325i - just went through hell making two cars into one. had an auto and found a 5-spd same color, same interior, same etc. swapped all the good from the auto to the 5-spd and sold the auto. The Italian - 2000 Ducati M750 - apart for the winter, thinking of obscene ways to defile her before the winter clears The Austrian??- 1999 KTM EXC 250 - I just sold it but I will only own KTM's for offroad this is my second in 4 years.
