So did a few mods to the S2r over the winter and thought I'd show it off!
I was pretty much where I wanted to be with the 620 and shifted my focus to the other bike.

I think that the pink chain stands out too much, or are you planning to add more pink to tie things together? I really like the belt covers. I still think that the S2R was "IT."

Ya I had the CF belt covers before and they just weren't doing it for me. I love the see through, looks nice and still classy :)
I def think I need a bit of pink in the front but trying not to make it tacky

use pink nail polish and color red kill-switch to pink. That will be enough.

I've got it.  Pink brembo logos on the front calipers. that would be juuuust enough.  you're welcome  [thumbsup]

also, while we're spending your money - i think that DP aluminum fender would be just the ticket for you.  I like the minimalist look of it and I think it'd complement your bike nicely.  maybe black fender with raw metal supports.  there was one for cheap over the the classifieds a few days back.

Or the whole caliper.

I think the Brembo lettering would look good.

We are supposed to be getting some CRG carbon levers into the shop soon, so excited about that :)

As for rear hugger, I've debated throwing on one of the carbon ones, but like the naked look of it

how about painting it? Ask do how . . .

Not sure if painting would interfere with the effectiveness of the cooling. I know with an intercooler (like for turbos) painting takes away from the efficiency.

I think the fluid lines is a good idea because it will link everything together ... with the 'Brembo' on the calipers to finish it off. I feel the chain is so prominent you can't just add a couple of flecks. Oh and I need to know more about that swingarm.

I got kicked out of the kitchen for burning things :P

The swingarm I powdercoated black with a gold flake. I was suprised with Ducati's choice of metallics in the black frames. The 620 dark I had was more of a multi color glitter and then the silver s2r had a gold flake in the frame... seems odd to me that they would have gold to accent a silver body, but ya.. So it was a royal pain trying to find something to match the fine gold flake, but I had them do the swingarm in 3 coats. Black, the finest/ lightest spray of gold they could and a clear.

That is my 66/67 Scrambler 350. Needs wiring done on it, along with some other misc stuff. I want to do rearsets, paint it black with charcoal number plates, polish up the casing... etc..

I think that silver tank looks pretty sweet... works with the curves of the headlight.

I'm curious to find out about significant improvements in handling, barking, and power delivery. I've hear these carbon are the bomb.

Unfortunately, the rear requires a spacer, which I do not have. So I have to wait another week or so for that to come in!! So I'm currently just rocking the front wheel. Which that alone I can notice a substantial difference! It wants to change lanes quicker and turns alot more sharply. I took it on the freeway and at first was unsure as the front wheel seemed to really just float. But after a few mins I adjusted and felt great.

The rear is 9lbs lighter then stock and the front is 3lbs lighter!

Sweet!  I really really want some of those wheels.  [drool]  I have done more than enough in less than a year and that it would be good to have something to look forward to.

I can't wait to get the rear wheel on and ride it.
Between the front wheel and pistons, it lifts pretty easy in 1st and even 2nd rolling into the throttle! lol
The only thing I kinda don't like is the way it feels on the freeway, almost like it's floating and not grounded.

The rear might be offset by the spacer, if that's a consern.

I shaved a mm or two off my caliper to clear the rim.

I thought about doing that, but the rear caliper that I have on was off our parts bike (900ss) and it's slightly different. The way the piston is in it, grinding it down didn't appear to be a very good choice

I think my next mod is going to be the next reservoirs and then a steering dampener.
Has anyone done an aftermarket dampener??

That fuel cap's a great match to your bikes colour scheme. You'd think they made it for you.

I could not agree more. I've contemplated doing it for a while and finally just grabbed it for the heck of it and fell in love. I wanted to do the black one on the Dark, but it had the metal ring around it so it looked awkward without being powdercoated first.
After having it on for a few days I LOVE it!!!!!!!!! I couldn't be more happy, it comes off really nice and looks so clean!!

I think they were referring to the steering damper. To stop the bars head shaking on acceleration over bumps kind of thing.

Suspension all tuned for you?

Assuming your answer to koko 64 is yes, my personal experience on my bilke:

Add windscreen, more stable at speeds over 100 MPH.
Add clip-ons, more stable.
Add steering damper, low setting pretty damn good.

In my case I believe the instability, which was not too awful bad stock, was caused by my steering input from being moved around by wind.  As pointed out by others, a steering damper is not a fix for a suspension problem, but, IMO, a nice addition, particularly when dealing with NYC roads  (http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm276/hlep2890/Pothole.jpg) (http://s298.photobucket.com/user/hlep2890/media/Pothole.jpg.html)

Sorry! Missed this thread before somehow!!!  ??? Whatever happened to this bike? A good riding buddy of mine built one up 2+ decades ago and won vintage Daytona with it and placed 2nd and 3rd two other times..., so it can't be THAT shabby.  ;D

Union Motorcycles is doing the work on it. They were featured on the Cafe Racer TV Show for their BSA and were at the Handbuilt motorcycle show with the Triumph, I'll find a pic of them :)
