Hi I have a 2006 ducati monster s2r 800...

I was installing new tail/ signal lights and my lp prongs had touch when I put the seat on and shorted out bike...

I traced wires to relay beside battery and no ground nor positive to one side of the relay

and no power to bike other than brake light when brakes are depressed

with key on and fuel pump cycle for acc no guage no headlights driving lights or signalsl.

. jw if anyone knows what is all in the relay on left side of battery and tested all fuses are still good what to look for next as well??

I broke it up a bit in an attempt to decipher it, but still lost the plot at the "with key on" bit.

Anyway, I'm sure you've blown fuses. You should double check.

There are two relays on the left side. One turns the fuel pump on, and the other enables the headlights.

Ive double checked all fuses and bike wont start gages dont even light up or come on...
I was already done installing the lights and the socket for lp light (which i no longer needed with the new lighs) pinched between seat when I went to put it back on

There's a 30A main fuse on the left side near the relays. Sounds like that's blown.

Check all fuses with a meter, not just visual.  Don't forget the main fuse.

Yep, hard to decipher.  Do the gauges sweep?  Does the fuel pump cycle when you turn the key on?  Does the bike start?  What warning lights come on?  What are lp prongs?

OK, caught between posts.  Check the main fuse, then get back to us.

Thank you for your time and consideration

The lp prongs inside the license plate light socket positive to negative collided and no gage sweep doesnt start fuel pumo cycles thats all I get

Do you think there is any possibility of burning out a couple wires??

There is, but it's very remote.

What are you doing to check the fuses?

if the pump runs when the key is turned on the ecu is ok.

if it has no dash lights, etc, it's some sort of general power issue.  ecu has not part in that stuff.
