Nope... but does that really play?

I'm wondering if the SBKs are going to come full circle at some point and the ginourmous twins are going to be dropped and/or a smaller one gets picked back up, like going back to a around 750ccs. Over 200hp? that's just nuts

The Pani is kind of shy or power, as it is  ;D
Not sure if the 1299 will come with bore++ or stroke++.

I hope it handles better than the first H2.

If you ever rode one you'd understand.

I did ride one (Owned an S1 250) what I can't belive is that I just saw the word handled and H2 in the same sentence.   Might be a first!

If they are going to be selling the 1299 along with the 1199 that can only be until they sell the surplus 1199's. Looks like deals might be had.  I mean a 1299 right next to an 1199. What would you get?  [evil]  [roll]

It replaces only the R and it's not 1299 cc  8)

Sorta like most performance cars these days..... Purchased by drivers that can't handle a 5k shifter cart

You forgot to add a part so I fixed it for ya.  Hope that helped.

Understood, but I was speaking more toward the lack of being able to be able to really USE such a thing on public roads.

(I owned a ~625 HP GT500 for three years before realizing how frivolous it was unless you A) wanted to lose you license forever, or B) had a death wish.)

I'be thought the same thing.
My ~100hp S4 can get me into all the trouble I need.

There's an ass for every seat.

So is WSBK allowing twins an additional 100cc? That seems excessive, as the 1199 is already competitive in superstock (or EVO) trim.

But "under powered" in Superbike.

I, for one, welcome more HP  [evil]

But there is no more SBK...I believe they all go EVO rules next year. If not 2015, 2016 for sure.

The factory bikes get one more year of concessions...

so 2016 is correct.

I like HP but I agree. I had an 1199 and it was way too much for the street.

Then how many cc's does it displace?

Very close to what's going to be allowed in WorldSBK next year.

Read somewhere that the upgrades were mostly about the intake issues...

I think it's a good thing the SBKs become more production based motor wise. There I said it. ;D
Should be oem electronics, ha, that would put a rocket up Honda's and Suzukis' asses!

I used to think it would dumb 'em down, but they make heaps more power than the SBKs of not too long ago.

Friend of mine had a 1098, all tricked out with Ohlins, he could ride the snot out of that thing.  He sold it a couple years ago and is back on a 600cc Yamaha.  He loves them... plenty of power for the street.

The only time I'd ever seen a 1199R was in Manhattan... being ridden with a (male and heavy looking) passenger on the back. The light turned green, the guy gets it going about 15 feet with a first-hour-at-MSF-style wobble, and then stalls in the middle of the intersection. I had never seen a more blatant display of asinine  foolishness. It made me sad.
