But there is no more SBK...I believe they all go EVO rules next year. If not 2015, 2016 for sure.

I like HP but I agree. I had an 1199 and it was way too much for the street.

I think it's a good thing the SBKs become more production based motor wise. There I said it.
Should be oem electronics, ha, that would put a rocket up Honda's and Suzukis' asses!

I used to think it would dumb 'em down, but they make heaps more power than the SBKs of not too long ago.

Friend of mine had a 1098, all tricked out with Ohlins, he could ride the snot out of that thing.  He sold it a couple years ago and is back on a 600cc Yamaha.  He loves them... plenty of power for the street.

The only time I'd ever seen a 1199R was in Manhattan... being ridden with a (male and heavy looking) passenger on the back. The light turned green, the guy gets it going about 15 feet with a first-hour-at-MSF-style wobble, and then stalls in the middle of the intersection. I had never seen a more blatant display of asinine  foolishness. It made me sad.
