Well.... I'm sorry to do it but after having the week from hell in Austin, I'm just getting back home and looking at the mountain of shit that's gotta get done between now and Sunday for our Race Watch party...
I'm totally outta juice so our GP party on Sunday just ain't happenin'.
I'm seriously gonna try and make it to Cory's party over at CDC's tomorrow though.

I'm thinking it'd be nice to have a race watch over at our house on the 20th (Sunday). We'll have the MotoGP race on the big-screen TV and some BBQ goin' on the grill.
We'll take care of the food - y'all bring whatever it is you want to drink ;D
We're in Flower Mound (a few miles west of Lewisville, northwest of Lake Grapevine). Easy access from I35W and FM 2499.
Come on over [thumbsup]
Wow, sounds cool [thumbsup]
What time does this party start??? ;D
Very nice offer!! I'll have to see if I can make it. I have invited a good friend over to hang out and watch the race. He's not one of this group and is going through some tough money issues. He's kinda bummed. Thought it would be good to see him and watch the race at the same time. Have not heard back from him yet. If he's a no show then I will need to check the kitchen points total because I will have burned a lot doing the Cory party at cdc's house on Saturday. I'll keep an eye on it. [thumbsup]

MotoGP race starts at 4pm. There's all kinds of racing that day (ALMS from Mid Ohio at 11am, F1 at noon, WSBK from noon to 2pm - choices, choices - then MotoGP at 4 :D ) so I think if you guys want to show up around 3 or so we can sit around for a bit and graze [bacon] , watch the Laguna race, then have some big BBQ afterwards.
I'm thinking I'll just head your way straight from Cory's on Saturday [thumbsup]
Awesome... but isn't Cory's party on Saturday the 19th? GP party is Sunday [beer]
Maybe he's been hitting the Rodeo Bar a little too hard. [laugh] Been there, done that. [drink]
Maybe it's a sleep-over at CDC's...

I may at least have to take a nap in the middle of CDC living room floor...
you know... just so I can compare it to LYD's floor (which was very nice and cushy BTW! [thumbsup] ).

I did have nine people sleep over at the house one time but I can't post the pictures. ;D

Does this invite apply to group newbies as well? :)
Of course! Come on over [thumbsup]

Sweet thanks!
Super nice of you and Alan to put this on! You guys are going to be there right? ;D Sam's been warned of the invading force I hope. No reason to scare him like the last BBQ party. [laugh] I think B8's "meat mustache" kinda scared everyone! Seriously, great of ya'll to offer up Casa Boyd for the mob. My friend chimed in so we'll probably just chill here at house and maybe grab some dinner afterwards with the wifely units. Ya'll have fun... as if you need to be told.
Lisa, thanks for having this watch party! I can't wait, Laguna is a fun circuit to watch.
Cool, thanks Brian. Sorry you can't make it.
Just a word to the un-initiated; we do NOT have a pool (yet. ;D But I am deligently working on fast-tracking the spending bill through Congress...) There will be plenty of A/C and lots of food though.
Maybe even some [bacon]
I do believe I can make this [moto] Yes, you heard right, IZ_keith may show up. It is pretty bad when I have to keep resetting my password because I forget in my absence from the board. Too much [bang], not enough [beer].
sounds like an awesome time...i'll definitely try to make this
So WSBK starts at noon?
I may have to head to Motopia for that and head over after Bayliss gets a double win.
'Q time...
This'll be a strictly Vegan event, right?!?
How the hell can everyone do the BBQ 'stache thing on vegan terms?? Love vegies to death (does that sound right??? ???) but meat mustaches are... well... made out of meat! So there you go! [thumbsup]

Around 3 or so - GP doesn't start till 4. Anytime before 3 and I'm liable to give you a mop or duster [roll] [laugh]
As far as the vegan thing; our rancher buddy behind us has a few dozen head of free-range tofu. They're trusting little buggers - walk right up to the fence. That's when you whack 'em with your 10 gauge spatula, right between the... air bubbles.

I think I'll be able to make it. Do you mind if I bring another guy with an ST? He's done some really great mods to it! Where is this place by the way? The map shows some far away places when you click on Da Boyd's!
Thanks,
Steve

I'll be at Motopia to watch the WSBK races then head directly over to Lisa's place for the MotoGP/BBQ
I thought we were going straight to ***'s house after the Lollie Bombs, then straight to Lisa's after Cory's party?!?!?!?
i may have to give up sunday's activities since friday and saturday are spoken for. i'll really be missing out, i know...
i hope i have the bike fixed so i can make this one.

Ok, two questions:
What is this country you call Motopia?
Is Boyd's location a secret?
Thanks, Steve

PM Cher for directions

Howdy folks - I'm in Austin and haven't had much of a chance to stay "current" with this thread.
It's super easy to get to our house: if you look at a map of the area due north of D/FW, you'll find Lweisville. Running east-west is a major highway named FM1171 - it connects I35E and I-35W.
Get yourself on FM1171 going west out of Lewsiville (and WEST of FM/2499. It's the north-south road we took out of Starbucks on the way to Muenster).
When your on FM1171 about 5 miles west of 2499, you'll come to a stop light. It's Shiloh Road - there's a Shell station in the northwest quadrant of the intersection and a Fire Station in the southwest quadrant.
Turn left onto Shiloh.
The first street you'll come to on the right is Oakview.
Turn right on Oakview (west).
Go to the very end of the street (top of the little hill).
We're on the right (6605).
Hope y'all can make it [thumbsup]
There is a damn good reason guys don't do well with directions and are reluctant to ask someone where the f#@k they are and I think "Cher" just demonstrated why. I rest my case. Anyone stupid enough to argue with those directions? I thought not! [thumbsup] If you get lost you'd better keep it to yourself. :P

Turn left onto Shiloh.
Is that the same intersection as Christina's Mexican food?
Thanks!
I'm at College and Morris by the way, just south of Marcus highschool.
I'm looking forward to meeting everyone!
Steve
This will be a good time for sure. I would consider bringing my buddy Greg out there but I think I will take advantage of having the family out of the house for the race watch. That way we can appropriately slob out and not use coasters and burp a lot without catching flack. [drink] I would normally say ya'll have a great time but who am I kidding... like this group needs to be told. [bang]

What time is that, do you think? I might join up with you for the ride... if you'll let me! :-\
I do believe the WSBK races start at noon.
I'll be there, so whoever wants to meet up there is more than welcome to do so
Guys - the deal's off for Sunday's race watch. Here's the edit to my first post:

Yea, I've had those long weeks in Austin.... [bang]
Hope to see you tomorrow, Lisa.
Chill, all is well. What is good for the Boyd household is good for all of us. Heck, your loss of our craziness may well mean profit and madness for Motopia! I see the fabric of the Ducati universe intact and vibrant. All will find MotoGP/World SBK comfort and personal satisfaction on Sunday. Tread well grasshopper. [thumbsup]
>:( Damn. That was my excuse to not do yardwork Sunday. >:(
-But seriously (hard for me to do): Take it easy. Rest up for tomorrow, and visit ***'s place...
It is a shame the race watch is canceled,
but it would be a true loss if you couldn't make it to Corey's send-off shindig.
You can wash socks or whatever on Sunday while we aren't there. [thumbsup]
Get some good rest this weekend. There will be plenty more chances to party. [thumbsup]
No worries Lisa, things happen. Take care and recharge, we got a bit trip to the HC looming about.
No worries, Cher, just keep in mind, you owe all of us big time ;D
Glad you could make it yesterday... [thumbsup]
