However, any detector will have the same result against LIDAR (laser speed gun). There are "ambush technique" for the officers, there are "counter measure tactics" for the , err, road users. BTW, notice those two cars on the left lane who slowed down AFTER passing the CHP officer? I see this all the time. People are simply not paying enough attention. Straight radar is used passively these days but that's about it. That's why I don't spend the money on a detector. Waste of money.
