It's always the other side of the pond unless you're in England. Post by: TCK! on July 26, 2008, 07:29:21 AM I think your first thing to do should be upgrade to some Ohlins forks... you know for better performance. Maybe a carbon fiber gas tank?
;) Title: Re: I have a confession to make.. Post by: 707soldier on July 26, 2008, 07:40:33 AM I think your first thing to do should be upgrade to some Ohlins forks... you know for better performance. Post by: Cynic on July 26, 2008, 07:46:56 AM You really wanted a sport bike. Too bad you didn't get yourself one right away, coulda saved yourself a big hit on what you lost on the monster. But then you wouldn't have meet all of us :)
Good luck and keep the rubberside down! Title: Re: I have a confession to make.. Post by: Popeye the Sailor on July 26, 2008, 08:23:10 AM I hope you will still treat as family. Oh, we'll treat you as family. You know-the kind that tells each other off. That is WAY too much bike for you. What was wrong with the 696? Title: Re: I have a confession to make.. Channel, yes! ;D Post some pics already!!!
Anyways, that is a big step up in performance from a 696 but it is a pretty civilized package that is easy to ride. I hope it treats you well and you enjoy it. And I'll get in line 2nd for the forks and callipers if you ever change them. Title: Re: I have a confession to make.. Post by: ROBsS4R on July 26, 2008, 01:44:05 PM Don't worry... He will be back in 2 weeks with a 1098 ;D Of course we will still treat you like our red headed step child. ;D Title: Re: I have a confession to make.. Post by: desmoquattro on July 26, 2008, 03:05:20 PM The Daytona's a great bike. But still too much for someone just starting to ride ;D
Be careful on that thing. And yeah, stick around. We don't discriminate...well, unless you ride a Harley [moto] Title: Re: I have a confession to make.. Post by: TCK! on July 28, 2008, 10:58:05 AM already got the aftermarket exhaust I see... My Leo Vince Stage II full system should be at my house when I get home.
Did ACE's remap the ECU for you with the TOR map? I'm ordering a TuneBoy if you'd like to redo your map sometime in the future. I got my exhaust really cheap from a guy who used it to develop tuneboy maps on a dyno. With aftermarket air filter, this exhaust and his map, he was able to break 120hp. I don't plan to buy for another 5 or 6 months, but the 675 is near the top of the list. I love the power delivery of a twin, but want to try something unique and new for the track, so a triple seems to fit that bill. I'm still doing my research, though. Thanks for the link. I've bookmarked it and will scour it for information when I should be working! [laugh] </threadjack> Title: Re: I have a confession to make.. Post by: Vindingo on July 29, 2008, 05:44:15 PM Hows the new bike going. Does it fit your style better ? all bikes feel weird the first time you get on them. The monster's seating position is so generic that I cant imagine it would be uncomfortable. Title: Re: I have a confession to make.. You know all those people who put clipons on there monster etc. Wouldn't you say Cruiser, Hybrid and sports bike would be all different riding styles ???
