Title: office/legal/admin/personal assistant needed in Baltimore
Post by: Statler on July 28, 2008, 03:44:51 PM
Anyone local know of someone right for the job please email me.   I run a small law office with one other partner.  Six attorneys.  Job is 90% secretarial, answering phones, getting the P.O box mail, ordering supplies, etc.   the other 10% can be anything from filing, cleaning the fishtank occassionally, moving heavy file boxes to storage.  great phone skills and the ability to politely deal with frustrated callers a must.  being able to deal with me preferable.

I am definitely interested. I'm available two to three days a week and would prefer around 100k a year. Other than that my skills include flair bartending and I can fall asleep almost anywhere. Will forward my resume when I get around to it...

In all seriousness, I'm definitely interested...I emailed you asking for specifics, but I'm not sure if you got it. I was wondering about the following points:

--Name of the company

--Salary/benefits info

--Where in Baltimore it's located

--Whether there's any chance to move to a marketing position within the company

--Any other info you think might be pertinent.

Thanks!! :)

Yeah, good point there.

Lord knows I have enough experience being H's personal assistant...I get stuck monitoring his email and coordinating everything all the time. ;)

Or she could look at it as "personal assistant and president of marketing"... you get to do ALL of it!

I know a few roads
I don't answer phones - clients will think we are too busy working on their case or better yet not billing them
Don't know a damn thing about legal stuff - therefore I won't be advising you like some assistants are likely to do
Filing - is that via windows explorer?
I could be in the office when the weather is good enough for me to ride there, otherwise I'm telecommuting
I will schedule a fishing trip for some office bonding and we can use bait from the fish tank, thus eliminating that task
I'm qualified to move boxes
I will schedule a happy hour every day at 4 thus improving morale
I can help with data privacy issues
I'm not available on Fridays
I know a few roads

Any time. Considering my (much) better half can sling her fair share of drinks too, I'm sure we could easily cover that aspect for you.
