I swear if there was nothing for perspective, that bike would look like the real deal!
not bad, but that last pic is totally fake... the rest are very realistic
That's absolutely incredible. You should be proud.
I've always wanted to build a model with that kind of detail, but I could never stick with it long enough to finish it out.
And where did you get a 1/12 scale model of yourself??
Awesome !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! [thumbsup]
You are a master
Holy crap that's cool.
neato. [thumbsup]
(also: you're insane.)
it looks exactly like the real deal [thumbsup]
...you ARE crazy!
Congratulations!!! That looks awesome!!
You got mad skill, boss! 8)
If this picture the bike was sitting on concrete, it would be hard to tell if it was real or a model.

Initially couldn't figure out what the little deals next to the Canadian cent were -- then scrolled down to the photo below and saw the dzus fastener detail. :o :o :o :o :o
The whole thing is simply stunning!!!
Un-make the beast with two backsing-believable!
Great job man!!!

I had a buddy in college who did models to this level of detail, but he primarily did warbirds (mostly WWII). He'd get photo-etched metal instrument panels, and aftermarket hardware kits (weapons, gun bay details, correct landing gear, engine details, etc). He won a few awards for some of his, and had a few on display in air museums.
Anyway, the detail and quality of this 916 reminds me of Toby's work. That requires lots more patience than I have... kudos Jason, that is one beautiful model of your bike!
The top rules of modeling are:
Superglue is neither instant nor permanent unless your skin is involved.
Paint hides nothing.
And no matter how good you are, you will ALWAYS be compared to that lunatic.

There is a reason I didn't show close ups of the numberplates... Reaction between the white and the red around the masking, two different brands of lacquer. The gold hides some of it, but that looks rough too.
If you were to make a little wall from pieces of particle board, you could photograph it just like the biggun. Then we'd really be confused. [thumbsup]
